  • SAME O BAHRAIN! ALWAYS CHEATING!! XD

    Oh, goal disallowed...

    LOL

  • There is another video, recorded by a fan from the other side of the goal, that has a much better perspective; search by its title -- Disallowed Bahrain Goal in 88th Minute vs. New Zealand, November 14, 2009 --sorry, you'll have to suffer through a bit of brainless cheering um, unique to football/soccer matches, first.

  • i think the foul call was valid. I reffed a few years, and made this call countless times: you can't jump into another player with established position; you can jump straight up next to them and reach for the ball with your head, but that's as far as the rules allow.

  • @thierrible7

    true :D

  • Nonesense, that was unfair play by GK he just gave up trying to get to ball and should have been a goal -

The rule is of player impedes the hands of the goal keeper , the bahraini player jumped up to head the ball GK , went up to catch the ball - did not catch it rebound Goal ....

No one jumped into goal keeper to push him from his catch they jumped vertically....

  • @misakisheraz

    thats what am saying

    I 100% agree with ya

  • @misakisheraz You'll find the referee gave the foul for the player who ran into the keeper first and had eyes only for the keeper not the ball, the jump by the other Bahrain player was fair but that was after the foul occured.

  • @misakisheraz sorry who went the world cup?

  • @MrKjc100 New Zealand

  • The goal keeper was not fouled you can compete with keeper for high ball

  • @misakisheraz Yes, but you have to jump. You cannot simply walk into the keeper and push him

  • ROFL. how is this a disallowed goal. the whistle blew hours before he kicked it.

  • @kimerofbr the keeper was interferred with its pretty easy to see

  • kiwis very very lucky

  • Bahranis kicked in the play-off for the second time.

  • @ahmedinho2006 rubbish!! the keeper was interferred with

  • @pramboy09

yeah right i think they interferred by a tissue maybe!!

  • @ahmedinho2006 both players interfered with paston trying to get to the ball, it's a clear foul. Maybe you should try crying into your tissues.

  • @pramboy09 hehe crying for what?

i advice u to prepare for the bad results NZ players will get in WC2010

and i suggest u keep the tissue to wipe ur tears and ur teams asses after few days from starting Wc 2010 ...

    u ass wiper (yucks) lmao

  • @ahmedinho2006 d We don't expect to reach the second round of the world cup, same if you had qualified, at least we are there in our 2nd world cup, how many has bahrain been to???

  • @pramboy09

Congratulation but please do you call ur qualification way is fair !

in my opinion the fairest way is through the groups not through the eleminations

your team is very lucky because if saudies instead of us the can beat NZ any time !! wheras Bahrain side is very inexperienced and didnt use to the high pressures so the rate of doing mistakes and mental presure is High (and yes we did many of em)

If saudia were in their usual form they would beat us and you

    NZ are very lucky!!

  • @ahmedinho2006 you should have beaten us! look at our qualification group!! We only played asia pacific and hardly play any games thorugh out the year. If you were good enough you should have beaten us home and away, you couldn't, so you do not deserve to be there.

  • @pramboy09 what helped you is 3 things:

1- your players are pro and they are used to the pressures due to pro leagues.

2-and I dont know why but the Enthusiasm u have people is Exceptional!! maybe its because of your genetics i dont know :p

3- low self confidence in the Bahraini team although their skills and great potential!

    again i congratulate you

and i wish u all luck in WC2010 after less than 2 months ;)

  • @ahmedinho2006 some things you should know about new zealand, here in new zealand football is a very small sport, in fact the number 1 sport is rugby.

secondly not all of our players are professional players some of our players are semi-pro, meaining they also have to a day job during the week. If you saw our domestic league you would realise your domestic league is alot stronger.

In fact our football league is so short of money we can't ever afford a true national football league .

  • @pramboy09

In Bahrain we are poor country alhough we are in Gcc and thats because of many factors ( one of them British sucking our oil revenus ) ok so we dont have that financing power to make a decent league in any kind of sports including Football which is solely financed by the football federation which dont give enough money ( its very low budget !!) some clubs barely buy the outfit of the teams in !! i can say that making strong team out of an very poor league is an achievment for us!

  • @ahmedinho2006 I don't understand, doesn't your royal family pump alot of money into your football? In fact your team travelled to new zealand in a private jet, we had to fly ecconomy class to Bahrain to play you. New zealand football has struggled for years form money as well, we do not have a true national league either. If fact so short of money NZ football are the all whites only play 1 or 2 times a year. In our country all the moeny goes to rugby which is the national game.

  • @pramboy09

yeah this support from the Royal family was just for showing off and to shine their reputation on the global level , you know that world cup playoffs are being watched in many areas and regions ,thats why they made this support and i cant deny also the other motive which is going the world cup for the first time

but still the earlier motive is more powerfull than the latter.

  • @ahmedinho2006 i just wanted to point out we have several amateur players in our team and even players who are not signed for any club, so they aren't all professional no

  • wrong!

  • @ahmedinho2006 haha mate I think you should learn the rules of football, the player has clearly ran into the keeper without eyes for the ball, not even attempting to jump/compete for the ball

  • no, u guys r just saw losers, shame NZ r in the world cup, u guys wastd ur chances at home

  • @clizba they call it Huge luck !!

and its also our fault because we didnt prepare our players

for this big pressure unlike NZ players who plays in Pro leagues,

and am surprised that Pro players plays shitty like that , first time i thought we will be outplayed by NZ players but they are very unskillfull!! and dont have talent

if just our players were mentally prepared we could do way better and atleast won 3-0 in the first match!! and 1-0 or 1-1 in the 2nd match or better !

  • lucky we had the one of the best referee at the game.

  • the whistle went before the ball went in the net it was for the player jumping against the keeper. you cant actually touch the keeper by jumping against him kinda like tackling in the air in rugby so good call

  • what the f'k do you know about football?? what about two players in the middle of the field jumping up to head the ball, can they not touch each other?! of course they can.

it's a well known case in football around the world that keepers are far over protected, it's unreal

    congrats on getting through tho

  • You can't touch the keeper in the 6-yard box...The guy closer to Paston clearly pushes him into the goal, so that the teammate immediately behind him can head the ball.

  • @kiwiboy1 You show me where it says you can't touch a keeper. That's total nonsense.

  • @nimpo46 It is called fouling the player. Total nonsense huh it seems the on field ref agrees but still here is the law you asked for law 12 is a good one

  • A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits

any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the

referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:

    • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent

    • trips or attempts to trip an opponent

    • jumps at an opponent

    • charges an opponent

    • strikes or attempts to strike an opponent

    • pushes an opponent

    • tackles an opponent

  • An indirect free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if, in the

opinion of the referee, a player:

    • plays in a dangerous manner

    • impedes the progress of an opponent

    • prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from his hands

    • commits any other offence, not previously mentioned in Law 12,

for which play is stopped to caution or send off a playerRespond to this video...

  • @nimpo46 Going for the ball is completely different to blocking a player from going for the ball. The player jumped against and impeeded the keeper so yes it is a foul. Not only that the push against the keeper which is illegal in law 12 is as clear as day. In the air challenges are not allowed either, but you are entitled to go for the ball in-the-air which is completely different from an in-the-air challenge. Either way New Zealand won and were undefeated bahrain missed a penalty boo hoo.

  • @kiwiboy1 I didn't say it wasn't a foul. I just said in Law 12 it does not say the keeper cannot be touched. The law also certainly does not say 'in-the-air' challenges are not allowed either. Why do you think they call those high balls 50-50 challenges? :)

  • @nimpo46 There is a difference in calling it an in the air challenge and going for the ball. You are not allowed playing the player deliberately in the air however if you are going for the ball together it is a different story. Despite the rules not stating word for word a keeper not allowed being touched It is actually a guidline given to the Refs as they train. Part of a refs job is to ensure the safety of all players some of the most horrific injuries in the past were against keepers

  • @kiwiboy1 Any attempt at going for the ball is of course counted as a challenge, otherwise you must only be going for the player which would always be a foul, and therefore not a fair challenge.

Where have you heard of this guideline that keepers cannot be touched? Because if this is true, referees should be given a strong talking to because keepers get touched all the time.

  • the football god let justice prevail and punished bahrain for their cheating tactics

  • at first look they seem to be jumping fairly with the keeper, but the ball clearly ricochets of the bahrainian arm, so no goal

  • Good call ref

  • I was just speechless and din't know what happened for a few seconds then ralised but stil didnt wana smile i was soo nervous

  • easy tiger

  • omg, when i saw this i tohught it was a goal and my tears were coming untill the ref declined the goal
