  • lmao that flex is crazy

  • god damn, that was sweet

and whip it is actually kutts song, it just features tech ;D

  • sounds like some one took a shit on a dying bird on a hot day i hate it....

  • this sounds like shit need a real system to blare this

  • you need more port area and less box cbF

  • that rattle is not a good thing... you wanna try and drop bottom with OUT bottoming out!

  • sounds like they bottom out, do you know what the excursion for these subs are?

  • y do ppl insist on putting good music thru giant speakers, making it sound like shit? way to go dick, when ur driving down the street all ppl can hear is ur car vibrating, good work

  • huge port, you should make it smaller - like 1" dia, for realz

  • KUTTY KAL NIGGA

  • to big of a box

  • good slammin' :)

but take care. Due such big slam you are risking to break coil

  • Those speakers are D-U-N. Done. That sound is the voice coil former bottoming out on the back of the magnet. Buh, Bye.

  • You aint fucking with 8's! They are some mean mofo's!

  • what size and kind of box should i get for two JLAudio 10w7 pushed by two 750.1 kicker amps

  • what song is this?

  • @ritzbitz00

you're serious? the title says clear as day tech n9ne, whip it.

  • @ProjectPechkin you're serious? your wrong, it's kutt calhoun ft tech n9ne!!

  • @jimmyurine711

    big effin deal. lol

  • @ProjectPechkin fuck you haha had to keep it going

  • @jimmyurine711 why ask if you already knew?

  • @ProjectPechkin its actually by kutt calhoun

  • @ritzbitz00 KUTT CALHOUN - WHIP IT off the album the strange music library. this kids fuckin dumb kno ur shit

  • if u invert them they wont do that, my soundstream 10's did that and they was in a sealed box, i took it out and free aired it and never had any mechanical noise to almost peak excursion, and when i inverted it the noise went away, i think its how tight of a former it is around the voice coil causeing it to rub or thats how mine is

  • Mmmm I like jello

  • whats like that rattling type sound i hear? port noise?

  • @JoSeDbZcOoL im pretty sure they are bottoming out

  • @silentwayz

box was 1.6 @ 18 hz or something crazy, a mis calculation on my part. Lesson learned, never build sub boxes drunk

  • @ProjectPechkin DAMNNN 18Hz?! THATS ILL!

  • @lorenzoruchtie

haha tuned for extreme lowz, 20hz excursion was nasty though, everything about 28 hz was just bottoming out, which is most hip hop lol

  • @ProjectPechkin or never give a retard tools haha

  • @JoSeDbZcOoL Because its ported to 18 hz lmao

  • im thinking about getting a pair in a L ported box thats 2.25 cubic foot tuned to 37hz, will it work well? running from a sony XMD-500X (550wrms @ 2 ohm).

  • @wrxsti111

I would recommend tunning in the lower 40s with these as their fs is 46hz.

Dont plan on a lot of bottom end but 35-50hz responce is the best for the buck. Hands down.

They will take a lot more power then 550 but that will work.

    try 2.0 @ 40 w/ 32 sq in of port area.

  • r they bottoming out i can hear it

  • sup there bad ass subs where did u buy them can u order directly of their website cuz i'm tryin get me sum 8s and these are pretty cheap i was lookin at da dd 1508 too much $ for me and the sundown sa 8 and re audio 8 and da cdt audio ef 8

  • apexjr (dot) kommmm

70 bucks for a pair, just tune high, like 40 hz, do 1.2 cubes per sub, and subsonic set to about 32-35

They will handle goodbles of power

  • @ProjectPechkin the site says .325 cu. ft.?

  • you are both right, you are looking at the situation diffrently, so quit fighting about it. if you dont have a trunk then the sound waves from the sub flow through your ccar better giving the illusion that it is louder, and if you do have a trunk then the sound waves dont get through the car as much giving the illusion of a quieter sub. thats all it is man it aint rocket science.

  • That songs on the "Strange Music Library" or something CD right?

  • I got 1 15'' with 1700 watts rms but these 8s poundin too

  • 1700 rms doesnt mean anything. My soundstream 15 at 1000 rms hits 145 decibals with the right box.

  • The box makes all the difference, A lot of people try to buy more power and and bigger subs, you can have two 200 rms 12's in a nice box off a little 400-500 rms amp and get a lot louder, then buying two 1000 rms subs, 2000rms amp and running them in a prefab box on stock electrical.

  • well, yeah, but 8 are pretty dang small. It matters about cone area too, but i was talking to the guy who was saying he had a 15 at 1700 watt rms. Yeah, box makes all the difference, but what makes even more difference is the car you have. My scion xb( box car) actually increases the decibals because of the shape.

  • No, your car doesn't increase decibels, there is such a thing as cabin gain or loss, where the structure of the car may yield a higher number over another car but that can be accomodated by proper tuning to the car's resonating frequency and proper port firing.

The box is what makes a sub deliver, and cone area has little effect on loudness, a DD1508 in a nicely ported enclosure w/ proper power will outcompete most dual 12's setups

  • dont tell me no it doesnt buddy, because yes it does. A trunk absorbs sound energy, while because my car has no trunk, there is nothing to absorb the sound so it is louder in decibals.

  • no it doesn't a trunk isn't a blackhole, it doesnt absorb sound energy, nor does it create it. having no trunk doesnt mean your louder, there are plenty of suv's (box cars) that have less cabin gain then a a trunk car. I know plenty of trunk cars with rear fire that will demolish most SUV's

  • Your making me laugh. So wait, you...dont think, that a trunk with carpet and such, and being in the spot that it is, doesnt absorb sound energy? I think, before making a bit of a fool of yourself, you need to go back to school, pay attention to science and how soundwaves work. Oh my god your funny.

  • I dont intend on making a fool of anyone and if you had gone to school on sound acoustics, you'd know different cars behave differently, under resonance of both high and low frequencies. Having an open cabin car doesn't necessarily mean your subs is going to perform better. And thats what the initial argument was about. If you're talking about vibration, sound trapping, and cancelation, thats a hole other topic.

  • @ProjectPechkin this is true, I had my old 18 in a Jimmy and it sounded like it was incredible right? Took the same sub and crammed that fucker into my SC1, and it hit harder than all ungodly hell (broke the side mirror on the passanger side, cracked the frame, gotta love plastic cars)

Regardless, the numbers were about 6 decibels spread, the SC1 was indeed louder, and it was a trunk car, thus proving, in8thegr8 is retarded.

  • @SicSniper4unreal

yeah, I love to see people arguing w me when they have no knowledge on the subject. Thanks

  • So, I have a 12" sub. What kind of box should I use. I dont want trunk-rattling bass. Just enough to compliment the highs coming from the speakers.

  • the box isnt going to make your car crazy loud, it will certainly help the sub be very efficient. Meaning in a good box, it will take a lot less power to reach a loud volume.

Fine tuning of the amp/ gain knob and keeping the volume bar low will keep the sub at ease. It's always better to have a sub that can outperform desired output.

This will insure long life out of the sub, since it wont need to be driven hard often. And if you ever feel you want more, just crank 'er up!

  • Sealed is higher quality and less bass. I always do a sealed box. This makes it more accurate too. With rap it doesn't matter, but with other music it does. And a bandpass does make it louder, but your right about being efficient. Always build to recommended specs.

  • I will never make a sub box to recommended specs, most manufactures give you a small then recommend box size for the sub as a smaller enclosure yield high power handling. so their profit margin on the warranty by authorized dealers is a money maker not a loser. A sealed box doesnt always yield the best quality, all it does is help bring in linear and flat responce. same volume on different freqencies. Some subs are just made for ported box over sealed. This is why you run t/s specs, to find out

  • use a sealed box. it is way small and you wil hit more notes and it would be alot cleaner

  • what does a sealed enclosure have to do with hitting more notes? these subs have an fs of 46hz.

30-70hz is all you want your sub to play anyways, most music is in that range. sealed box has no effect on how clean teh sub is, these 8s are not made for sealed enclosures. it would do very poorly in one.

  • my buddy has 2 dd 8 inch subs and is runnin a m2 which is 2200 rms split, and hes hitting a 155.2 in his single cab chevy

  • I know last year a guy did a 149.9 bass race on an 8 somewhere in washington. Don't remmber the name though, I do recall reading about it though.

  • Im thinking of getting 4 of these, seriously. :3

4 for 100 is the best deal out there. :0

  • My 2 off 1000 RMS in a 1.75 cubes @ 32 hz was doing a 138.4 @ 45Hz tune

    If you build a box with 1.8 @ 38-40hz, a 140+ from 2 is possible

145 with 4 is also possible.

  • Yeah. Gotta wait a bit though, gotta get a new amp for my RE sub. Then I can get these. ^^

  • ...Are Those Apex Woofers?

  • Yes. This was in a shitty box though.

  • No. the song is by kutt calhoun.Teck is just the hock.

  • lol dude got the upside down youtube that shit happen to me once it sucked i got off for about an hour and its work fine after but dude you need to put them in the back they be hitting hard and sound alot better

  • 913-816 woop woop

  • why is all this shit upside down?

  • huh?

  • my shit mustve been messed up cuz everything on this page was upside and like written in like arabic haha

  • Youtube's april fools joke

  • those look pretty nice. brand?

check out my build vid i just did with 4 8's

  • Apex Jr. 8"

  • Your vent is too small. The "Thbbhthbth" that you hear is air whooshing through the vent so fast that it becomes turbulent. I'd say use a flared vent kit from Precision Port to tune the box, and you'll be able to handle a lot more airflow before the port becomes the limiting factor. When port turbulence becomes too extreme, you lose output.

Just some friendly advice for your future modifications with these sweet-looking drivers.

  • Thanks, I actually tuned the box to 17 Hz by mistake ;(

The new box for em will be 1.6 @ 36 Hz

  • Man i'm a big tech fan and never heard this song..

    i didn't know there was a everready disc 2

    thanks for sharing brooo!

  • not a problem. it's a good song

  • what brand are those 8's...they look like they handling at least 400rms...

  • send me a message and I'll give you link where you can buy em. They handle about 400-500 RMS each. Great things. Best buy for the $. You can get two for like $86 Shipped

  • this aint tech homie its kutt

  • Tech starts the song off bud :)

  • yeah tech starts but the song is kutt's

  • I believe Tech produced it :)

  • you both right. but yea it is cutts song

  • damn!!! the bass on them thangs
