  • Hi! I just wanted to wish you luck on your weight loss journey. I'm trying to lose weight too and am vlogging about it. I have about 60 pounds to go, but it's only been three weeks. It gets easier the third week, so stick it out.

  • I know the Atkins diet works well... if you stay true to it. You can lose up to 10 lbs in 2 weeks.

    Also, I know with exercise & just drinking water (no sodas lol) & then eating like you're suppose to will work & is the best route to go. I know that you're suppose to eat very little for breakfast & lunch. Like fruit, a healthy snack. Then for dinner only eat to where you're no longer hungry... not 'til you're full. That's how we're suppose to eat.

  • Trisha, I myself have lost 60 lbs in the past 6-7 months and there are a few things that have contributed greatly to it.

    First, I have a water cooler in my home (the kind with the big 5 gallon bottles). It's made a big difference in my drinking a lot more water. I got it from Lowes for about $100. If you are interested in this idea, I will donate $40 to the cause.

    I lost 40 pounds - and kept it off - by doing Turbo Jam (KICK ASS exercise videos, look them up!), cutting back on sweets, consuming less carbs, loading up on lean meats, veggies and LEMON WATER! Losing weight and keeping it off really is a lifestyle change.

    Also, a cheat isn't bad! I allow myself a cheat day once a week; it's the only way to stay sane. The key is to not overdo it. Ex: A cheat for me is 1 burger on a Saturday. Not candy, soda, chips, ice cream all day long.

    LOVE the fact that you do little cheats - I figured that's not so bad. I probably will incorporate them once a week after my first two weeks - my goal is 8 pounds in 2 weeks...which I think is okay for me because I have so much to lose and I gained it all so fast...so fingers crossed.

  • Best way to loose weight fast is to only 1 small meal a day (lunch only) and if you get hungry later eat ice cubes. You think you have had a full meal after that. I lost 60 pounds in 7 weeks doing this

  • It's may be a "effective" but it's extremely unhealthy.

    You need a balanced diet with a certain amount of servings per day.

    Just eat healthy portions with all food from the different food groups, like the pyramid, and you'll do great!!

  • Crash diets like that never work in the long term because not only do you kill your metabolism, but you also gain all the weight back and then some once you actually start eating again.

    they do work - but for me, personally, my body gains it back like that *snaps fingers*

  • Small portions make your stomach shrink. At first you'll b hungry but as time goes on you'll not need as much to feel full resulting in eating less at each sitting. Water is a big deal because it tricks the stomach into being full.

    Stay way from Coke & cheese.

    50% of the battle is cardio. Work up a sweat, it can be anything, just get your heart rate up and break a sweat.

    losing weight & staying thin is a lifestyle change 4 the rest of your life cause it can come back the minute you stop.

    Suggestions... you've already heard it but

    I say eating three meals a day and having smaller meals inbetween, like fruits or yoghurt. Very basic, but still good to think about.

    Do you like going for walks? It's better than running I think, plus it takes away all my stress. I go for walks about three times a week, one hour each. It's great!

    I always have been one to eat just one big meal and obviously, not working.

  • Make sure you take a bunch of vitamins. I used to be 170 two years ago and now I'm 145 and still losing. I started taking: a multi, vit C, cranberry, cinniman, biotin, and ecinechea. The combo really sped up my metabolism :)
