The C.I broke the rules of sterilization technique.. you should use pick-up forcep soak in cidex solution. also, she did not clean the meatus by betadine solution, she did not check the ballon before inserting to the urethral meatus... lot of mistakes...

it is not standard to inject 5ml of normal saline it depends on the manufacturer usually it is written on the catheter bag
