Dude, the best way towards making Firefox the best is through customization. YES, customization tweaks like about:config. This version is actually consuming much less resources than I expected it to be (hence the name Minefield). I'm loving current Firefox 4 especially the HW acceleration and App Tabs.
Opera is way lighter than firefox. The reason Firefox 4.0 SUCKED so bad on my old computer is because it was so overweight, Opera 10.60 is way lightweight which is why it is so much faster. Also it is not insecure. AVG's real-time threat detection network makes it hella secure. The only bad thing about opera is the lack of useful add ons.
I am really liking FF 4 beta 1 on my Windows machine. I think giving the choice of having the tabs on the top or bottom is a good thing, and I am anxiously waiting for the Linux version to come out.
@Gerrrry You can get Firefox 4 Beta 1 on linux, it just doesn't have the Firefox button and tabs on top are not enabled by default, easy to turn them on though.
Firefox is stupid Google Chrome is the best, fastest and easiest to use
