  • I know that this comment won't get any likes, but it's worth a shot... I am a new Graphic Designer on YouTube, and I was hacked about 6 months ago with a YouTube account that had over 2,000 subscribers :( As you can imagine, I was quiet upset and I didn't know what to do. I decide to start up this channel in hopes that my friends and the public would help me get back to where I was and maybe even higher. Please help me get back to where I was, and if you like my channel, please give this a like.

  • i cant decide between graphic design or civil engineering

  • @chuckss321 Civil engineering

  • Me and my friends were just wondering that if you are a graphic designer for a game, do you make more if the game sells well? and like which game company pays you more as a graphic designer? you know ubisoft, rockstar and etc.

  • Im in highschool. Me and my pal are trying to become graphic designers thank for info.

  • luciandragan.ro

  • In my country with $3000 You can buy whatever you need and live with it..and with $500 you can decently live monthly..a freelancer earns $10-15k monthly in my country...so...yea :)

    You get my point.

  • I want to be a published graphic novelist and freelancer at the same time. Thats what i want to do with a bachelors in graphic design, but so whats ur job? and how hard is it to ever become a director in a company?

    thanks

  • Fukin hell!! I was sitting there thinking "just answer the fukin question... And after 3 minutes of talking "i cant give you an answer" lmao rrraaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

  • I really like the video, very helpful. The most helpful thing though was at the end how you said there really is no solid answer for anything in graphic design. Sometimes I try and figure out answers to questions I have when what I really should be doing is just DOING IT, getting out there and actually doing things in graphic design to foward myself in my skills, knowledge, and career. Thank you.

  • do i blog professional content? like could i show this to a boss of mine?

Please check out my blog: Thinkful (dot) net

  • I make a great salary designing. The hell if I 'm giving away my secrets. Those are passed on to colleagues and apprentices. That's how you prevent over-saturation of the market.

  • are u a graphic designer? is it hard to get into?

  • I'm a freelance designer and I've been solo since 1996. I've had steady corporate clients since then in "boring" fields. It's not exciting work, there's no supermodel photo shoots or rock star video work, but I've carved out $80K a year on average.

The trick is providing EXCELLENT service, extensive knowledge of the customers' product or service and a high attention to detail. Being a very good graphic designer helps, but it's not essential. Mediocre can survive if you excel at the 1st 3 areas.

  • hi, i'm applying for a graphic designer position but i just started to practice my graphic designing skill less than 1 year and i currently using Photoshop CS5. So do you think they will consider me for that position and give me a chance to learn, or do the companies provide a training for graphic designing ?

Sorry for my bad english i'm from Philippines.

  • @nayrbbizkit did you go to school? cant be a graphic designer without going to school

  • @nayrbbizkit Did you ever get that job? How's it going for you?

  • so iam 16 and iam going to be doing a graphic disgine at tafe ( i live in australia ) and i was woundering would it be a good job to do my self i love being on my pc and drawing and crateing thing i did a subject in yr 9 at school and i fell in love with graphic desgine so my question is would it be a wast of time for my self to go and do it and what i mean is is ther enuffe work out ther to get a job and it want be a wast of money learning somthing that i cant do...help i dont know what to do.

  • Mac or PC doesn't matter, it's experience and then the program.

  • Hi there, I am majoring in Art -3D design. Can you tell me how much does 3d modelers, 3d animators, or texturers makes?

  • Thnx that was helpful

  • Can you talk about how you got started in graphic design?

  • GDs make about half of what's listed in the Graphic Artists Guild Ethics book. They have $50k as a reasonable starting point, but the actual jobs you find will only pay $16k to $26k.

GD is not a field to be considering in this economy and certainly not in the U.S. -- I'd recommend focusing on web design (self taught 2 years can net $30k easily) and make connections with other, *established* GDs to farm out your graphics work to.

  • Yes, I'll do a video on it.

  • Is it worth it to change to a mac?

  • @BlissartSE If everything you have works, and your software isn't out of date, I wouldn't bother. If you're going to make the leap, I would do it for a good reason. Windows 7 is a lot better to use than previous versions. Also keep in mind that printers & drivers should be researched before switching. Some things will transition seamlessly onto a Mac, while others may not be supported. The actual GUI and keyboard adjustments are pretty easy to adjust to, so keep the bigger issues in mind.

  • I chose graphic design/ illustration because I enjoy creating works of art, I didnt choose this career for the money. In the end money does make you happy, but if you dont '''enjoy''' what you are doing........... it is complete hell!!!!

    good vid

  • Started with one 24 iMac to make sure I liked it, then made my whole office iMac. We still have a couple windows system, but I now hate to turn them on. We just use them for accounting now.

  • I love macs, I myself have a 24" iMac w/ Snow Leopard. Which mac did you get?
