  • if you were actually in hell you'd wish you were doing this instead

  • if EVER see Green Beret i fuckin shake his hand like a crazy

  • Does anyone know what kind of glasses canidate #81 is wearing at 4:01? Ive been looking for a pair just like those and I cant seem to find any.

  • This might be a stupid question, but do you just get one chance at Green Beret Selection and Qualification, so if you are dropped for medical reasons or other reasons, is that it or can you retry again in a certain amount of time?

  • @TheAcl2745 no u can go multiple times...not right after another but I think its like 9 months inbetween u can go back, just know that from my buddys here that were in swic and some want to try again

  • @boypaslot not sure if someone answered your question. you don't have to have a ranger tab (completed ranger school) or be a ranger to go out for SFAS. if you complete selections and it comes time for your final assesment if you have indeed finished that school successfully, it may (or may not) help you get selected. I went in with a former air force special ops captain who had a silver star, he was not slected.

  • 06:10 what did they say in part 2 or 3? "You're Number One? Sucks to be you, Number One never makes it." And he didn't.

  • i like the guys hint at 1:41.

  • My pre-selection course for the british infantry was harder than the things they do in this >.<

  • @TheGreatScottChannel It's funny isn't it when you see Americans knocking the British Army hahaha

  • @15niall Yep :p But they do have a good army. And they're our best ally.

  • you'd certainly have to be highly motivated to get through this. Of course the military don't have a monopoly on extreme training, Reinhold Messner's solo ascent of Everest without oxygen springs to mind.

  • lol number 1 never makes it, I hope I never get that number!

  • I love these shows, any other good ones?

  • 150 pounds?! thats way more than i even weigh.

  • OMG this is so sick. Thanks for posting this vid. This is BRUTAL!

  • Wow these guys are real men ! Most people would fail long before this point. These guys are in shape !

  • genuinly thought there were about 30 different men called 'kenedy' then i realised they were saying 'candidate', only took me an hour to realise...

  • i wonder if this is more demanding then BUDS training?

  • @OMGz1122 apples and oranges

  • @OMGz1122

This isn't even their training. This is just SELECTION. As in it is essentially an interview for the training which you may fail anyway.

  • @OMGz1122 From what I have seen, read and heard BUDS is more demanding. This is a bit different though. BUDS is more focused on water skills and freezing your ass off in the Pacific Ocean.

  • Thumbs up if you randomly came across this and decided to watch all 9parts :D

  • these guys are praying for war

  • TEAM FOUR AGAIN THA BEST!

  • wtf its better if you try it at home and get prepared and fitt bfore you go in there so atleast your ready for a different workout

  • @fRANKiiEe510 ya man thats what am ganna do before i go there.

  • These guys haven't learned enough mechanics!

  • lol you can tell who made it by the faces they blurr out

  • its jokes and high spirits that keep your mind off the punishment at my work it is hell and we joke around to make it easier and it does

  • "They have created....... a three hundred pound wrecking ball, that is impossible to carry."

  • It's confusing that they say they're looking for those that have the willpower to push themselves to the end, yet you see people break down to the point where they can't even comprehend what's going on. The "superiors' (I don't what they're called , sorry) say that there's no specific physical type for the qualifications (said on the second video). So what exactly are they expecting from you? What are they looking for in the qualifications?

  • @matman727 they're looking for soldiers who are both physically and mentally tougher than the rest..no particular physical type meant you can be scrawny and ripped instead of bulky big..when it came down to it..those who couldnt deal physically are cut, as well as the ones that cant deal mentally..yea we saw people break down..and they were cut lol...u gotta remember these are only candidates meaning they are not Green Berets yet..

  • 47% dropped out by 3:00

  • navy seals trainnig is hell also i just watched that

  • the barrel part of the training was boring..

  • at about 8 30 minutwes in to this video with this downed pilot began.. me and a group of cadets(since im in it) did what i guess yuo could call a pratice of it he had to find are pilot in the bush make a sling or brace for what evers hurt and im not sure if they provided stretchers or not it was a lil back but we had to carry that person out(full grown adult) but only out of the bush then we back at camp

  • I can't sleep for more than 4 hours. 2 hours is too long for me. Then again, I have insomnia. At times, I can only sleep for 30mins to 1 hour. Anyone else have this problem?

    Thumbs up

  • No not number 1!!!

  • poor team 1 they probably all hate that navigator

  • anyone notice that ALOT of them are wearing multicam? :D

  • "dont try this at home kids" challenge accepted.

  • @MrBoopan They're blurring out their faces because that canidate has since become a member of the special forces and in some cases their identity has to remain a secret

  • Lol, they blurred out the SFC's gatorade bottle.

  • @LessThanThreeRugby i fail to c the funny side...

  • lol "leap frog"

  • why do the keep blurring out that guy in woodland camo

  • @JokerSixActual advertise. a brand name :P

  • this is harder than rangers and seals

  • @MrBoopan You know, I wondered that too. But then I noticed that most shows blur out brand names and such. I suppose he was wearing something with a company's name on it, and they blurred it. Don't see why...free advertising!

  • @fmcc0904

If discovery shows an advertisement it wasn't supposed to, then it could be liable for a lawsuit from whatever company. I don't think that's the case here though because no military issued gear has company big company names or trademarks on them. The only thing I can think of is this was recorded so long ago that guy might have been operational, and deployed while it was premiering.

  • @fmcc0904 Or maybe some of them didn't want to be on TV?

  • @fmcc0904 thats the point they don't get payed to show the brand name

  • @SillieWous Yes, but they only started blurring things like that in the past few years, and they never do it on anything except documentaries and reality shows.

  • @fmcc0904 networks also need to get permission from brand companies in order to show their product on T.V. There's property and copyright infringement issues without that permission. So Discovery has to censor it. Copyright has become a major issue now. I'm majoring Multimedia in college.

  • @cellardoor199991 Thank you, but common sense told me that much already. It just so happens that, as I said, most "prepared" programming (comedies, dramas, etc) either do get permission to show brand names/logos or just make up fictional ones that slightly resemble real products.

  • @fmcc0904 maybe he became an SF operative, most times operatives identities are not revealed

  • @ZackyChann That's not even close to the subject at hand, but thank you anyway. :-)

  • Those are some heavy fucking pilots!

  • whats that green and white things the cadres carry on their rucks that is always blurred out?

  • Team #1 are idiots, how lower you put the weight of the "downed" pilot...how heavier it is. If they wouldve thought for a moment, its obvious the best way to carry it would be on shoulder height/level.

  • haha the time to finish is "confidential"

    and then

    3:31

you missed it by a minute

    hmmm let's do the math

  • Not to take away from the Gravity of what these amazing men are doing here but...

3:11... Holy shit that's John Travolta

  • he was right! :O lol number 1 never makes it

  • Notice at the begining the guy with his face blurred (probably foreign special forces) is with team 4 in last place.

  • Dude the 1 -2 hours of sleep is for the last week of the OCS training. These guys only get 4 hours max for 2 weeks. Both are difficult but different

  • What does the Instructor have in his rack that is blurred on the left side of it, example at 05:33 ?

  • They had FOUR HOURS OF SLEEP?

OCS gave me perhaps 1-2 hours during the last phase.

  • @belzu1 Officers are expected to keep pace with the sort of schedule their units may have in combat. Training is training, after all. Practice. In the real "game", sleep is a precious, rare commodity, and not just for SF.

  • @fmcc0904 I totally agree with that.

  • @belzu1 Actually I think the narrator said, "a few hours" of sleep per night. It's right at 9:07. Click back to 9:03 and you should hear it almost immediately.

  • @belzu1 theres a reason that only 50% make it, even with 4 hours of sleep. If u think u can do it, then go ahead, if not then just appreciate the effort. No need to brag.

  • @belzu1 and ocs is fucking easy, fatbody

  • @belzu1 I don't think you understand this isn't SF training. This is special forces selection course to earn the right to train. So it isn't as rough as it will be when they start their actual training.

  • @belzu1 I guess that makes you better than SF candidates. In reality, 4 hours is the exception, and is a reward for doing what you need to do. If you fail to complete the mission on time you get no hours of sleep. Also the level of work required here is much higher than the daily routine of OCS. Not to mention the fact that this is just to weed out the week. Over the next 2 years of their lives there will be many many opportunities to fail.

  • @belzu1 you also are some of the dumbest people to get into the army so i dont want to hear where supposed to look up to guys i cant tel yo uthe number of times ive had to drag a damn Lt through shit on the other hand there are some of you that kick ass and are great leaders but dont hink your better then us enlisted guys last time i checked i dont have a cosey air conditioned office ;)

  • @belzu1 dutch commando's no sleep 300 miles speed mars with ful gear in an 120 l bag... at day you observe @ night you run thats some good old torture:P you did this training also fromt the clip?:O

  • @belzu1 Guy, OCS vs SF??? Don't compare the two. You and I both know there's no comparison. And I speak from experience. OCS was kid's play compare to this.

  • @belzu1 I heard that surviving the cut gives false info on purpose to not give away secrets on how difficult the course really is. A future candidate could watch this and know what to expect if they gave all real information. SF usually recieve 2-4 hours sleep a day for 2 weeks straight. These courses are actually a lot more difficult than this show makes them seem.... not that they dont seem difficult already. For example. Ive heard the log is actually 1500lb.

  • i wanna try this at home ;D

  • at 4:11 is that super mine sweeper?

  • doesn't 2:20-2:28 reveal how much time they had? in a previous part the narrator said he couldn't say because it was classified haha

  • @wygram well they didn't say when they started.

  • @wygram

    he did say hint

  • @wygram not really...that could have been the time of day on his watch

  • @wygram They couldn't reveal it to them while they were working the course because they would have a time frame to work off of.

  • @wygram it wasnt classified for the audience, but for the soldiers. It keeps them from knowing the time that way will challenge them to finish as quick as possible. If you know the time you have and you are not even close to it, you will quit.

  • @wygram The time was not shown so that the traineis won't change plans because of it,but after what happened thier was no piont in hidding it.

  • @wygram They are not allowed to tell them the time until after the mission is complete.

  • @wygram no... they took 2 hours to assemble their vehicle, it didnt say how much time it took them to travel the distance

  • @wygram lol

  • @wygram wow.... he meant it was classified for the candidates to know.....

  • this is awesome.

  • those are some chunky pilots

  • @weweallthewayhome They are Airforce pilots, what do you expect? LOL

  • oh dear Lord.... the downed pilots are the WORST!

  • @StrengthFromAbove83 I don't think I'd wish that event on my worst enemy ... it looks like an exercise in intestinal fortitude and tolerance of pain.

  • dont try this at home kids... haha. nice
