  • Wow! Very nice!

  • could you pleeeaaase make a tutorial on how to do that? thanks

  • @Cr125rmxr ...no not at all. Motion isn't very good at anything to be honest. After Effects is a VERY powerful motion graphics tool and its a fairly decent VFX tool. However if you truly want to learn VFX, skip Motion, skip After Effects, skip HitFilm, and go straight to Nuke. Nuke is the single VFX tool used in ALL major studios.

  • Great job. It's great to see someone actually do art, instead of just clicking on an option box and calling themselves an artist.

  • ccooool!

    bloody brilliant

  • Ive been learning Motion 4, its really powerful for making videos like this. If you're wanting to make special efx with live footage, After Effects might be the way to go. Check out my song "Method of Madness" to see how I've utilized Motion 4.

  • very nice animation!

  • so that was i pic that you used with some animation dust and stuff on the walls and some fling text? was all that right?

  • tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man dude that was totally sick!

  • Tutorial!!!

  • Can you teach how to do this

  • is there any way you can teach me to do this? :( please

  • as you did for the walls are realistic you used some effect

  • as you did for the walls are realistic you used some effect

  • any tutorial for this plz.....

  • What kind of Mac? I've got a dual proc 2.3 G5 with 4 gig ram, will this work? Man that is good...

  • Is M3 Hard Like AE ?

  • @Sindragosa21 It's not that AE is hard, it is that you don' know how to use it, as with any adobe product, to fully understand it, there is a huge learning curve. Motion is a little easier to start with, but ultimately requires you to just practice and learn it. I would recommend learning After Effects rather then Motion, I love motion, but After Effects makes you more valuable as far as editing jobs go.

  • tutorial, lol, you know everyone wants it!

  • ...I would pay you for a tutorial, feel free to get in touch!

  • Very nice work.

New to the whole video thing - but I really think that is a top notch clip.

Im gonna see more tutorial, thanks, Look great

  • is this in the templates, or is this from scratch?

  • this would have been perfect if you had a person running down that hall in slow motion. would have been hard to do, layering in a 2d clip and all but still...

  • Hey this is pretty cool. how do you export from vanishing point in to motion?

  • Nice job..really awesome..

  • Awesome, nice job.

  • Any chance you would send me the file so I can see how you made it?

    Thanks

  • your best animation! Still not so hard to do, right? :) I am wondering how did you import a vanishing point inside Motion. I know it's possible in AfterEffects, but Motion? Let me know!

Check out my apple motion tutorials and animations on my channel!

  • very nice! =) keep up the great work, music works too!!

  • that was awesome. please make tutorial.

  • Holy Shit! Motion can do this?!

    *Cee-Bear 2009*

  • Tutorial Pl0x?

  • I've used Motion 3. The video is over 1 year old. With Motion 4 i guess it is much easier and better results (new depth of field and real shadows)

  • @sdfstudio Just wondering how you used the vanishing point with Motion 3. Also Was that a photo that you took? The quality looks much higher than a normal texture. Thanks. Looks awesome.

  • yo did that with motion 4???

  • very nice

  • Bro thats sick, would love to use your work or pick up some tips, I do action/ stunts and need good show reels to attract an audience, hit me back!.

  • yo SDF this is digiton studios. we havent made a movie yet but we're using final cut stdio. when it comes out its goin 2 be awesome. check out the website. soon we'll put up a sneek peek

  • that's so cool. I can't wait till I get the new final cut studio!!!!

  • Awesome....;)

  • i've watched this many times. it looks fantastic. there's one thing i'm desperate to know, and that is how did you generate those dust particles? they cannot be motion 3 particles because stock motion 3 particles don't look that good. After effects particles?? maya? 3ds max? please help me out. once again, great animation!

  • It might be made with motion 3, he/she might have created the cell particle and just made it into a particle emitter. But good question i'm curious myself.

  • defo

  • Q- do you need to have final cut pro to use motion???

  • no u dont matey

  • A- in short, yes.

Motion comes in the final cut studio bundle (currently in it's 3rd generation) which includes Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Apple Qadministrator, Apple Qmaster, Cinema Tools, Color, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, and LiveType.

  • need a tutoriol

  • holy what program is this

  • Apple motion, a part of final cut studio

  • adobe after effect

  • This is amazing.

  • I think this one might be my favorite of yours!

    Great job!

    cheers

  • Actually it was done on a Mac in Apple's Motion 3...

  • tutorial dude....c'mon

  • i want to know how to do flourishes like that in motion... after effects uses the evolution plug in ... what does motion use... some one please message me if they know.. thanks

  • You can get the florishes from Video Copilot "Evolution" it has a crap load of random elements to use. Not trying to advertise, but that's the pack that the florishes are from.

  • Really nice look but just not liking the typography

  • tutorial!

  • BEAST!

  • Dude, post a tutorial for the tunnel, c'mon.

  • How long did this take to render?

  • WOW AMAZING!

how can i do something like that?

  • Tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeaahh! please tutorial

    thanks

  • Comment removed

  • do you have any motion tutorials?

  • awesome!

  • Great vid! How did u get it to look like the camera was moving sideways and towards the image? (the effects u used?)

    thanks so much :)

  • I think they (or whomever) used the camera in 3D mode to adjust the camera. Used a particle emitter for the pieces in the middle and they mask effect to reveal the shapes on the walls. Hope this helps a little.

  • Please do some tutorials. Those things are just unbelievable!

  • wow

  • Awesome Man. Its a great work in motion can you tell how you did it. Some Tips atleast

  • Stunning video, love the music, the colours, particles and calligraphy. I'm sure many people, including myself, would be grateful if you could share how you made it!

  • Please, make a tutorials for your videos! They are just perfect!

  • you should make some tutorials on how to do this stuff. that would be sick!

  • NICE!

i love those particles youve got floating there. Was the camera meant to 'swoosh' to each titles with a motion blur like effect?

  • Thanks I am going out tomorrow and have my hands amputated. Amazing skills

  • wow this is dang sweet. you say it needs work, but w/e to that. tra la la, off to watch your other vids kekeke

  • make a tutorial on how to do this!

  • i agree!!!!

  • me to!!!

  • Sick! Nice job, how long are you already busy with the program? Mad props!

  • to make this just see the tutorials of andrew cramer....plis!...thats the real master

  • There is NO export option on my photshop. Filter si there for vanishing point but no export data option.. great :(

  • Are you saying that you learned how to do this by only playing with motion? Can you please do a tutorial on how you did that? I'm with sonpit, I will cut off my right arm to learn that. Lol.

  • Hi guys! Thank you for your comments.

I'm not using other software. Everything is done in Motion.

Flourishes - You can find a few in Motion library.

How i learned to use Motion? - Practice. The software it is very well done. It is a real pleasure to work with, to experiment different things. Too bad that we can't find tutorials, plugins and presets (comparing to After Effects). Don't know why. Motion makes creating and sharing presets (effects, objects, camera, behaviors) very easy. Good luck!

  • I am new to FCS and Motion. I am also self taught (which is hard). I would cut off my right arm to learn how to do this, but that might hurt.

  • In Motion?! Amazing!

  • are you using video copilot softwars too?

  • Buahh!! Qué bonito. Esperaba encontrar algo así para lo que tengo entre manos. Thanks for show it us.

  • Hi guys. Thank you all for your comments.

For camera focus - use defocus filter, because in motion 3 there is no depth of field. u have to fake it :).

@MysticAFI - yes, it is just a photo transposed in 3d space using vanishing point filter in Photoshop. Actually the hard part is to obtain a good look for that photo in 3d space. the rest is easy - particle emitters, lights, wriggle behavior, defocus filter, color correction.

  • Nice vid man. Could you please just explain how did you import the vanishing point (.vpe) data in motion, because i only know how to do it in after effects and would love to do it in motion since i prefer the way its camera behaves. Thanks in advance.

  • Nice work !!! I'm learning more and more each day about this stuff and I'm gonna trust to edit my first project but I was wondering if I want to use that what you did as a dvd menu dont I save the file in Motion 3 but import it in the dvd program I'm gonna use right ?

  • I'd love to hear more details - doesn't even have to be a really detailed tutorial. I just want to know what exactly you did - was this just a photo that you imported into motion and added all the particles?

  • WOW! Please make a tutorial for this one man, nicely done:)

  • Love it!!!

  • This is amazing - A tutorial for the box effect would be good but I'm more interested in the particle effects. How did you get the focus pull on that?!?! A tutorial for that would rule!

  • this would make for an interesting enhancement to title sequences

  • Thanks guys for your comments. I'll try to give you more details or to make a tutorial (if it is really needed), but it will take some time. Cheers!

  • more info would be great and a tutorial would be even better! this is fantastic.

  • Excellent! :)

  • Very impressive stuff man! Trying to figure it out, but I can't seem to get the projected images from photoshop placed correctly in Motion. They are to distorted for it to look any good at all. Would you please give a detailed description of your method? Thanks alot!

  • wow.

  • Very imprerssive Dude !!!

Can u make a tutorials about this ?

    Will be appreciated

  • The "wall video footage" is actually a photo in 3d space. All done in Motion. To create the 6 faces that you need for the box in Motion use the vanishing point filter in photoshop.

  • Is all of this done in motion? Was the wall video footage that you layered the rest ontop of, or did you create that in motion too?

  • Hi cabezasca. Motion 3 is an amazing software. It lacks some features comparing with After Effects, but i think is more intuitive and well organized.

I used a Photoshop filter called Vanishing Point and export the vpe file for After Effects. It will export projected images. This file can be applied in a box inside Motion 3.

    Good luck!

  • do you have a recommendation for where to learn how to make the box inside motion 3?

  • awesome job on this title sequence. How in Motion 3 did you do this? I'm still learning the FCS 2 Suite software ...
