MMA is for more casual gamers, but sometimes MMA just looks retarded, I mean they already move across the ring like they're on skates or something, and it isn't really all that realistic, I pick UFC because they have WAAAAAY better fighters, better kicks and strikes, and movements are a little more realistic. The only thing MMA really beats UFC in is submissions(I despise submissions on UFC)MMA is pretty fun, but I like UFC better

@Driftking12346789 lol some people get knocked out from 1-3 hits in the head. Thats why in MMA the block button actually matters. I mean in UFC sometimes you just walking into punches and just keep taking it over and over. THQ makes good wresting games but I think leave the sport games to EA.
Ea mma is so much better then UFC 2010. I can give you so many reasons but it's best for you try it . The problem with Ea mma is there are not enough people playing it and it's pretty hard to get games online.
Soccer kicks to the head and head stomps some not even allowing elbows to the head but its less complex than it sounds and soccer kicks are really satisfying if you've been getting pounded for example and land a flash knockdown then run up and boot them in the face you'll enjoy it trust me and wen u train if u dont like the idea of too many minigames do certain training once get the top score and simulation training will give you maximum points but all said and done ufc is still a good game

I own both Undisputed games. I don't own EA MMA. I think from playing their demo, EA's animations are a fresh new look at an MMA style game. A good plus. But the only thing I don't like.. is that I don't quite feel like I have complete control of my fighter in EA MMA. Almost like a split second action delay or something. Maybe I'm just too used to Undisputed's controls though. Who knows, they're both good in their own ways.
And I just wanted to say too that the training is the most dragging part... but fighters in real life will say that training is not fun and they hate it too. So maybe in a way... it's as real as it gets? :P
I also think you are in the same boat as a lot of people - MMA fans who play video games want an MMA video game, and Undisputed happened to be the first to come out. So for a while before EA ever thought about a game, you'd think that just any MMA style game was gonna be awesome and love it. I mean what else was there? The PS2 releases?

i think that the UFC games both 2009 and 2010 r better than the EA MMA. EA MMA looks kinda cartoonish i mean that the fighters look bigger or buffer than they do in real life. UFC fighters look real. but the EA MMA has better controls than the UFC games.UFC also is easier to learn how to play.
I have both of them, and UFC is just better, I mean it has the amazing roster, the carrier mode, learn new moves. Plus the presentation feels like you’re watching a pay-per-view. EA’s MMA looks and feels generic. The controls are awful.
Regardless of graphics, character roster or organization, the number one aspect of any game is being able to fucking play it. The controls are just awful on EA’s MMA. They make sense in UFC.

Get MMA, its a superior game on the feet and the ground, very intuitive, yet complex. The main weakness is fewer custom moves, only 16 vs UFC's 100+. But the moves you have keep the action interesting. They went for quality over quantity and it shows. Download and make your own fighters, I have a Brock Lesnar, BJ Penn,etc. that look like the real deal. They were very clever and sneaky by adding real UFC stars tattoos in the editor too. UFC screwed up by signing a 5 yr deal w THQ.
We got the 2009 and 2010 UFC games, but tried the EA games one just a few days ago and I'm hooked. EA MMA is so much more fluid and realistic and alot more fun to play. Obviously the main draw back is that it doesnt have the UFC roster, but I really would advise people to by EA MMA for a better gaming experience!
i've played ea sports mma and the only thing i really dont like is anyone can take anyone down and i've owned both ufcs 09 i loved it played it with my cousin 24/7 but when 2010 came out it was nonstop gameplay so im going to have to say ufc

UFC is like an arcade game. It's button mashing, analog twisting, constant hitting without loosing stamina, fake knockouts, and it's just not good. I love mma games so it was actually my favorite game, but when i played the MMA demo, I realized how bad Undisputed is. MMA is so fun and awesome. You should go with MMA. It's so realistic, there's more environments, it's more like a real fight while Undisputed is like fighting robots. And submissions in Undisputed SUCK

The UFC game would be much more entertainable and or interesting for a player that likes some sort of realistic/logical view in their game. Throughout playing UFC Undisputed game often I've seen fights end within the first 4 punches due to the reality put into the game.
a fight ending in 4 punches doesn't mean it's realistic... I've ended fights in maybe 5 / 6 punches in MMA and that doesn't mean it's more realistic, although it is. But hey forget video games for a second, if you like real UFC, the WEC just joined the UFC so now they have a new really light weight class and a bunch of new fighters. UFC is now gonna be even more awesome! Not the game, but the real sport! YAY UFC!!!

@wesl8160 that's cool, I used to love UFC (the game). All I'm saying is I love watching the sport and EA MMA does a better job making it feel and play like a realistic fight. UFC has great graphics though. Also, if you like real MMA, you should check out Strike Force. It's on Showtime, but I"m sure you can find it online. It's awesome! The environment is different and the octagon is smaller. It's really cool and they have more events than UFC, though they're not as professional IMO

To me UFC is more strategy based (because the octagon is larger and has more room) and Strikeforce is more like a brawl. I don't know a lot about strikeforce, but I think UFC has more world class level fighters

Frank Murr is so overrated. If you want to see a phenomenal BJJ MMA fighter, you need to watch Fabriciao Werdum, Jacare, Damien Maia, Roger Gracie. Frank Murr cant hold a candle to any of those guys. I suggest if Fedor is the only fighter you would like to play as in EA, you should expand your knowledge about mma & not just UFC

I own both Undisputed games. I don't own EA MMA. I think from playing their demo, EA's animations are a fresh new look at an MMA style game. A good plus. But the only thing I don't like.. is that I don't quite feel like I have complete control of my fighter in EA MMA. Almost like a split second action delay or something. Maybe I'm just too used to Undisputed's controls though. Who knows, they're both good in their own ways.

I also think you are in the same boat as a lot of people - MMA fans who play video games want an MMA video game, and Undisputed happened to be the first to come out. So for a while before EA ever thought about a game, you'd think that just any MMA style game was gonna be awesome and love it. I mean what else was there? The PS2 releases?

i think that the UFC games both 2009 and 2010 r better than the EA MMA. EA MMA looks kinda cartoonish i mean that the fighters look bigger or buffer than they do in real life. UFC fighters look real. but the EA MMA has better controls than the UFC games.UFC also is easier to learn how to play.

I have both of them, and UFC is just better, I mean it has the amazing roster, the carrier mode, learn new moves. Plus the presentation feels like you’re watching a pay-per-view. EA’s MMA looks and feels generic. The controls are awful.
Regardless of graphics, character roster or organization, the number one aspect of any game is being able to fucking play it. The controls are just awful on EA’s MMA. They make sense in UFC.

Get MMA, its a superior game on the feet and the ground, very intuitive, yet complex. The main weakness is fewer custom moves, only 16 vs UFC's 100+. But the moves you have keep the action interesting. They went for quality over quantity and it shows. Download and make your own fighters, I have a Brock Lesnar, BJ Penn,etc. that look like the real deal. They were very clever and sneaky by adding real UFC stars tattoos in the editor too. UFC screwed up by signing a 5 yr deal w THQ.

We got the 2009 and 2010 UFC games, but tried the EA games one just a few days ago and I'm hooked. EA MMA is so much more fluid and realistic and alot more fun to play. Obviously the main draw back is that it doesnt have the UFC roster, but I really would advise people to by EA MMA for a better gaming experience!

EA MMA is trying to get some casual fans as well as some sim fans but, you need to make up your mind. It aint workin out that great. The game didn't feel good and I prefer UFC.
EA MMA had a lot of hype but, once the demo came out it was basically better graphcis.

UFC is like an arcade game. It's button mashing, analog twisting, constant hitting without loosing stamina, fake knockouts, and it's just not good. I love mma games so it was actually my favorite game, but when i played the MMA demo, I realized how bad Undisputed is. MMA is so fun and awesome. You should go with MMA. It's so realistic, there's more environments, it's more like a real fight while Undisputed is like fighting robots. And submissions in Undisputed SUCK

The UFC game would be much more entertainable and or interesting for a player that likes some sort of realistic/logical view in their game. Throughout playing UFC Undisputed game often I've seen fights end within the first 4 punches due to the reality put into the game.

a fight ending in 4 punches doesn't mean it's realistic... I've ended fights in maybe 5 / 6 punches in MMA and that doesn't mean it's more realistic, although it is. But hey forget video games for a second, if you like real UFC, the WEC just joined the UFC so now they have a new really light weight class and a bunch of new fighters. UFC is now gonna be even more awesome! Not the game, but the real sport! YAY UFC!!!

That's not how real MMA goes EVER! The submissions are garbage in UFC Undisputed. Just roll your stick around as fast as you can. WTF? That's not how submissions should ever work in a video game. Why not make striking just about hitting a B 80 times in a second? And the take downs too, more rotating the stick

@wesl8160 that's cool, I used to love UFC (the game). All I'm saying is I love watching the sport and EA MMA does a better job making it feel and play like a realistic fight. UFC has great graphics though. Also, if you like real MMA, you should check out Strike Force. It's on Showtime, but I"m sure you can find it online. It's awesome! The environment is different and the octagon is smaller. It's really cool and they have more events than UFC, though they're not as professional IMO

To me UFC is more strategy based (because the octagon is larger and has more room) and Strikeforce is more like a brawl. I don't know a lot about strikeforce, but I think UFC has more world class level fighters

Frank Murr is so overrated. If you want to see a phenomenal BJJ MMA fighter, you need to watch Fabriciao Werdum, Jacare, Damien Maia, Roger Gracie. Frank Murr cant hold a candle to any of those guys.
