I heard from my band instructor that the pocket trumpet is an octave higher than the standard trumpet, even though it says Bb flat on the pocket trumpet, is it really an octave higher? Someone please reply.
@psychoboyjaque That's what I thought, then my band instructor just said that she played in a small band that had a pocket trumpet an octave higher, I didn't believe her but since she has years of experience I was a little worried that my pocket trumpet I'm ordering my be an octave higher. Since I wanted to practice with my pocket trumpet both in school and at home.
i really want to learn to play trumpet and like i have a guitar little martin the style of the pocket trumpet is good and i saw a jupiter 516 L
the sound of yours is good what is your model ?
i know that for the same price i will have better sound with a normal one but if the difference of sound isn't so much different i will'nt have more hesitation for the jupiter .
This is great makes me want to start playing trumpet again! What are some good pocket trumpets that are not too costly?

@Fangeroo You're thinking of piccolo trumpets. Pocket ones are B flat, just... pocket sized.
