@ddrtard actually....look it up! he's not using his voice, or he'd've blown it out a long time ago. look up some of metallica's old stuff, that was actual screaming. what he's doing is using his ventribular folds or whatever the fuck...it's not a part of your "vocal cords" it sits right above them. i used to think the same thing, but he's been doing it for god...like 6 years at least? there's no way he would've been able to do that without forming nodes. rant over ;)

Actually, I do both metal and clean vocals. I'm better at screaming, just because I find it easier and over the years I've been trying out different screaming techniques that different bands use, including just plain yelling, which doesn't use false cords.

I can tell that Anthony Green doesn't use his false cords when he screams because of a couple things; he strains himself WAY more than someone would that screams with their false cords, his voice is mor- oh ran out of space.

I don't mean to double post, but I forgot to mention my conclusion.

What Anthony does is he has a somewhat inbetween voice, meaning that he can shift to that kind of scream and his clean vocals easily, while someone using completely false cords wouldn't be able to do that instantly.

I really don't know how to put what I mean into words, but I JUST KNOW.

Tight band, but Green is just straining way too hard to hit those notes. I think it sounds like shit honestly. I mean, I don't count that as hitting notes. Anyone can push as hard as they can, get a terrible tone like this, and reach higher notes, I just can't see why you would want to. Ridiculous high notes aren't even what make their songs so good. Love Circa's albums, but it just seems a bit dishonest when his voice on the album is so much more clear.

Anthony's voice is a little screamy in this performance (for the lack of a better word) but I still like it. In the other songs from the transmission his voice is a clearer. Their acoustic performances are awesome too. Anyone can have their opinion ofcourse, but I think you're wrong here!

Also, there's a ton of stuff that makes singing live at a show much more difficult than in a studio. Endless touring, lack of sleep, long sets, moving around, heat, bad monitors, etc. All of this is completely elimnated in a studio, and it makes it much, much easier to sing.

I do like their albums so I hate to poop in the pudding. Every other time he does this song live, or really any of them, it's just awful. He has an impressive range for about half a song and then his vocal cords sound like they rip to pieces . This is the first good live vocal performance (save for a few acoustic performances) i've ever seen from him. My bets are on a lot of digital help here.
