And... I'd like to see a Audi or Benz with superior interior quality in the <60k$ (or w/e the pound equivalent may be). I would be surprised to see that in an audi at least. Perhaps my way of putting it: "giving the Germans a run for there money" wasn't the wisest choice of words. What I mean is that it is of comprable quality, possibly the first real challenge of Limousine type vehicle that the Germans have seen out of the far East. They need to treat it as a real competitor.
So you are going to base the cars quality off an engine cover? Thats a great indicator. personally I think most German cars have ugly exteriors. No, the interior may not be quite as refined as a high end BMW, but recent hynda's are much more reliable and cost effective to maintan like Japanese brands (of course, you don't buy that being from Europe, you don't like Japanese cars. Of course I dont care for toyotas, but hondas are nice). We do agree on 1 thing though: Caddies are shit.
@jvjobi and if you or anyone else reading this happens to be one of those prissy rollex is best fanatics, cuz showboating your money is more important then quality, I DARE any of you to take a high end swiss replica and compare the movement to that of a genuine rolex. But I doubt anyone but a jewler would do that because it they both are to expensive to tamper with. Nuff said.
@jvjobi so, to avoid people picking apart every offhand comment I make, allow me to rephrase. Hyndai is giving german design and engineering a run for its money, though it will not likely pose a serious threat to Germany's or any luxury European brand manufacturer from a bussiness standpoint for several decades. Regardless, if I had the means to purchase such a vehicle, I would find this an enticing option. ...I think i covered my ass pretty well with that one.
@jvjobi so, no. it likely will not outsell or 'out-prestige' a Rolls Royce, even if there is a sizable prize difference. However, for a purelly enineering standpoint, I may very well give the rolls a run for it's money, we will have to wait and see personally for ourselves. Again though, in this market segment, the brand name is what sells, so if you are implying it will not be competitive from a business perspective, I share your skepticism.
@jvjobi I guess we will know when we see one. But, Casio is a very good brand (or it used to be), There highest end watches are likely of equal quality to rolex. When you buy a rolex, you buy it for the name, it is purely a status sympbol. A high end swiss rolex replica is of equal material and precision quality, but may cost only 250-700$ instead of 10k or more. The rolex still is more popular b/c of that status, but the replica is not technically inferior.
