  • You're beautiful! <3

  • Ok, I don't wanna be rude but I have a point to make: You said that a wedding/engagament ring gives people something to approach you about but doesn't being online (and popular on it) given them something, too? I'm not talking about something Online, I'm talking about at your workplace. I'd imgine that if I saw you working somewhere I'd be WAY more apt to comment on the fact you do vlogs than to observe a ring on your finger. Don't more people bring up your online involvement?

  • @6thelost9 I keep the two separate. They're unrelated.

  • @walllofweird Thank you so much for your reply - you're definitely a down-to-earth cool chick. So, if someone runs into you at work and asks about your show you just refuse to talk about it? did I understand that right? Just view the ring as the same deal, keep your home life and work seperate....respond the same for both! =)

  • @6thelost9 I just don't discuss anything personal at work. The fact that I work in healthcare in an ER.. not having many conversations with people to be honest. :]

  • please may i have sex with you mouth?

  • i dont like you now

  • So, you won't tell me where your mom buys her cleaning products?! Fine, probably none of my business....just tell me, please, I have to know....

  • You forgot the Z-snap, Kat =P

  • You broadcast what you want, and viewers/followers infer or say what they want. What's the big deal?

You can ignore their questions, they can ignore your videos/updates. What's the big deal?

    Also, headspace.

  • Sigh. People make a huge deal out of nothing on the interlolz. Silly people. Bet they werent subscribed in the first place.

Maybe put the ring on another finger to avoid people feeling like they have any reason to speak to you about your personal life?

You shouldn't have to, but people are really nosey. :/

  • wow, you people need to relax, she has no obligation to respond to even basic questions, let alone private matters.

As for pushing away her subs, you people also need to relax. Youtube is a communication device. Although many of you see it as an entertainment device. She posts, you watch, end of story.

If you don't like or appreciate her perspective, she probably doesn't want your views anyways.

  • you're very clever and amazing. haha.

    you own all your subscribers.

  • I have successfully unsubscribed :) this girl doens't deserve to get money from youtube, so I ain't giving her any more views

  • Yay! You know how to push the unsub button! Good job!

  • are you in a really bad mood, or are you just a mean person?

  • I just think it's a bit silly to leave notice that you've unsubscribed. I mean, you are still getting me ad revenue with the view, and the subsequent views when you reply to me--and I know making sure I didn't get money from youtube was your main concern. (Which isn't a huge deal, seeing as I have an actual job, and stuff.)

I don't consider myself a mean person, no. I think you're just overly sensitive about things people say on the internet though. Good day!

  • hmm, ok you win

I'm not here to spread hate, maybe you're right, maybe you're not.. Who cares? just have a good life

  • 2722 views in 1 day tells me she won't miss yours.. or any for that matter.

  • that´s right, off course she wouldn´t miss my view! that´s how she is

  • Of course you removed that comment

    - "that´s right, off course she wouldn´t miss my view! that´s how she is"

doesn't sound very nice, now does it?

Just look at yourself getting all worked up over nothing, I think it's very sad, do you wanna talk about it?

  • Wow good job... No one cares. She has a mind and your just sad because you dont.

  • Oh, so now i have no mind? Im soo offended now....... But like i said before, i aint gonna spread any more hate.. 'nuff said

  • nice job shutting up, vleer. Although its a bit late. Try working on being a bit nicer in the future.

  • who's being late here? your comment is 5 months late,

also, please don't be mad or something, guess I wasn't in the right mood back then

  • Wasn't in the right mood is right. But I just happened across wallofweird's vlog and was hooked! I looked at the comments, and couldn't help replying to some of the outrageous ones. No offense.

  • wow..

    People are getting so offended.

Really, people, I don't think it's an implication of not giving a damn about subscribers. I mean, how many comments would she (and other youtubers) get from people asking weird and even just plain nosy questions on youtube and of course they won't want to answer them.

People from work asking questions is a totally different thing and it's harder to say you don't want to answer because it could be taken a completely more offensive way then was intented.

  • That was a nice way to say F You! lol

  • You are a slave to our comments. Stop trying to deny it.

  • Um, unless you have a whip and chain, you're out of line.

  • lol. good god people. you take things way to seriously (only the people who were 'offended' or 'taken aback' by this video. it isnt like she's your friend, or even someone you personally know. im going to apologize on her behalf for her ability to recognize that she indeed DOES have free will and is not a slave to our comments. seriously people the vid wasnt a personal attack, so dont act like it :/

can i get a woo woo for some free will over here!? lol

  • Uhm "woo woo" ? :p

  • You go! Totally agree! the way people are yakking about this video, it seems like a massive over-reaction. It hink part of her reason for this video is that she's answering those people who have question marks over their heads, wondering why she isn't answering them. Also, if it were me, it would be my way of discouraging personal questions in the future. Let them continue asking, but let them also be warned.

  • ya, its true though its very disappointing... :(

p/s: are you trying to push us away?

  • Damn, that's just rude to say...

  • I watched one of your videos and was about to subscrlbe and then I saw this video. I don't want to sub to someone who is so standoffish and talks to her subs like they are four years old. You have plenty of subs, I'm sure I won't be missed.

  • Most likely not... And why not just unsubscribe and just leave it at that?

  • im prolls gonna get 50 thumbs down and ten replies saying im a dickhead, but sometimes i just really feel like you dont really care about the subscrribers.. :P and the way you say stuff is just really..mean.

  • You seem to be under the impression that the person who provides you regular free videos somehow owes YOU something. How arrogant.

  • If I were to try to cater to every person's needs, I'd go insane.

  • You can't wait for April to end, can U?

  • i feel like when i watch some of ur videos im like dam this girl is a bitch.. but then im like .. whatever... shes pretty fucking awesome.

  • But we're aware that you're engaged, and that's exactly what you were referencing.

  • Well said.

I'm guessing that illiteracy appears more sarcastic than it used to be. This video reminded me of why I still watch them. (I'm not sure what that is)

(Ellen Page-esque, that comes to mind)

    J/K

  • Agreed.

  • Its kinda funny how youve put on makeup yet your hair is still wet. XD

  • You have a good point.

  • haha Funny video.

  • I agree with you completely.

  • WWF shirt?

  • Nah, they're pretty much the same thing.

If someone asks a question that I dont like in real life, I just thumb it down and walk away.

By thumb it down I mean cripple them emotionally with words

  • I agree with you!

  • U can haz rant.

  • Fair enough.

  • You never have to do anything. Nothing, ever. If someone asks you a question, wherever it might be, you don't have to answer it. To say that "you pretty much have to answer it" if someone asks you a question outside the internet is just amazingly naive. You'd think that someone of your age would realize that this, but obviously not.

  • Really you do answer it. You say "I dont really want to answer that" So honestly in real life you always answer questions you cant just walk away. I dont think you really understood where she was coming from.

  • I feel sorry for you, I really do. If you honestly think that you "have" to answer a question. If someone asks me a question and I don't feel like answering it, I'll just say "I don't wan't to answer that question". If the person that asked me the question cannot accept that, then that's his/her problem. You don't have to do anything, think about the consequences how ever.

  • Wow didnt i just say that? But answering i dont want to answer that question is answering the question. She means she cant just walk away or close out the window. You cant just talk away from the person you have to say something.

  • You make a valid point and I admit, I was one of those people; consider me told and sufficiently put in my place.

  • Comment removed

  • QQ......... lol jk

  • Katrina, how hard is it to say "I'd rather not answer that"?

Surely your workplace doesn't force you to answer *every* question a patient might ask you...?

TRW has plenty of times and places where you choose how much information you share - just like here on YT.

  • dgthall, Surely you don't address people you have never said one word too acting like you know them.

  • Gee, I dunno, didn't you just do the same thing? And isn't strangers asking her about personal things in TRW the same thing?

To me, it's just basic common sense that we all have a right to choose to answer questions or not, whenever and however we want to. We don't all exercise that right all the time, but we all have the choice.

I think after watching a few her videos, I do have just a bit of a sense of our hostess here. Oh, and she's the one posting her videos on the Internet...

  • I think it's the distinction between theoretically being able to refuse information and practically being able to.

While theoretically you can say "I would prefer it if you didn't ask questions about my personal life" - your customers and patients might not respond to that well (whether or not it is reasonable for them to respond in such a way is, of course a point of contention). In any kind of people-serving job, part of the job is to make your patients/customers etc like you.

  • I'm referring more to coworkers than patients

  • Then it should be easier to say "I'd rather not talk about that." Just because you work with someone doesn't mean that you have to answer any question they ask.

Even if it is part of some ongoing conversation, you always have a right to change your mind, and you don't have to give any explanation. You may feel guilty for doing so, but that's your head messing with you.

What I have learned when someone is crossing a boundary is to sit quietly, listen to myself, and then speak from there.

  • Awe... will you really ignore my question?

  • I accidentally rated this one star when I tried to press the play button. I totally agree with what you said, though.

  • Hi ! U rant well and U entertain well ! Cheers !

  • So I heard you liek Mudkipz.

  • ruff secks wif mudkipz

  • your a lot nicer when your boyfriend is around ;)

  • wow,you dont talk to people and you just put vids online.who has no life.o.you do not!

  • hmm, do u think she actually cares what you think? she has 1000's of subscribers and more tha 1000's of views of her videos online. Pretty cool i think

  • Sydney, I really don't think you know what you are talking about. Walllofweird makes a difference in the lives of people, and if that isn't a life, what is?

  • I have had plenty of folks just walk away from a question I asked. I mean it isn't nice, but it is still your choice.

  • Was I right with your location? Norfolk/VA Beach?

    ;)

  • Is that an Enjoi shirt I see?

  • Amen sister!

Only a fool would really 'Broadcast Themself' in an unedited, answer-all-questions kind of way.

  • Mr. Chi City ain't no fool

  • mr. chi city is the effing bomb dude lol

  • You are a pistol!

  • you defintally hit that clarification button.

  • Ha ha agreed.

  • good clarification. :)

  • this doesnt count as your vlog for the day. you still need to make another :)

  • I get ignored by beautiful women every day so i'm used to it, but seriously folks, watching someone on the internet doesn't make you thier friend any more than watching Wanted puts you on Angelina Jolie's guest list.

  • LOL. UR HOT. A/S/L?

  • what kind of music do you listine to?

    :P

  • Hah, people with banners usually ignore people anyway, you're definately not the only one "/

  • oh :( you ignore me??

  • I haz question:

    Is there a god.

  • True as rant woot!

  • so sarcastic..

    love it XD

  • Here here!

    ~Katy

  • bahaha.. so you may never answer this? what about this? or this?

    wow harsh =P

  • i'm sure that after posting vids for a week straight while working a slightly more than full time job along with handling other RL stuff, she has little desire to tickle your fancy with interesting camera angles >.>

  • mmm just wondering as, you (now i could be getting this wrong) said that because of an engagement ring people were prying for information - personal or whatever.

But as wearing the ring it is a symbol of infinite love etc etc and you choose to wear this ring in tradition of symbolic love in your life. Thus its a big change that you are broadcasting on your finger, and I would imagine that you would be even more upset if people didn't acknowledge this new change that has come upon you. so relax

  • This is an excellent point and well put, but I'm sure it is the sheer number and quality of people that comment on this that annoys Katrina. When it impedes you from doing your job, or when you have to tell the same story 50 times a day it can get a bit annoying.

If I was in her situation I wouldn't want to have to take off my ring just for some other yahoos that think it's adorable for a 12 year old to be engaged. :)

You definitely make an excellent point though.

    ~Katy

  • 'Cute observation though', haha. I love your attitude <3

  • walllofweird, why won't you answer this question???

  • You are clearly desiring the end of this project!

  • just an observation. try to have diferent angles or sumthin so viewers can easily tell the videos apart, all the april ones seem to have the "same" thumbnail

  • Isn't it a little bit late for that though?

  • They're titled with the date. I'm pretty sure that's enough for people to distinguish between been.

  • just say "no comment" and walk away...

  • Yes, yes you can. And a good rant it was :)

  • lol i got a question why dont u answer our questions lol

  • Well done ;)

  • ok sounds fair:) lol

  • haha it is a cute observation.

  • you can haz rant :3

  • RANTS!! <333

  • I do agree with you. I hate when people at work always try to talk to you about your personal life like you've been friends forever and a day, and its kinda awkward.

  • Agreed with that!!

  • No question times? :O

  • FUURST.

    hahah just kidding(:

  • rawr first.
