Hey I listened to Smooth Jazz when I was 10 years old but I never tell anybody that I listen to Jazz because everybody I know only Listen to rap. I like to listen to rock too and classical they are good forms of music. But Other people see it as too elitist.

Follow your instincts. When I was a teenager, I followed the classical route earning a music degree in that venue, but I have spent the rest of my time--I'm 50 something now--exploring. I still sing in choirs that sing the classical forms but including popular forms like jazz, swing, gospel, etc., but when I am just listening, I gravitate towards smoooth jazz and steely dan jazz-bebop-whatever, if you know what I mean, hahaha.
