  • Why everyone so negative he is the owner if he is satisfied…Who cares what you jerks think get a life….The fence looks great to me!!!!!

  • @first48u thanks man! I do get a kick out of some of the comments, glad my video gets so much attention. thanks for watching. ~Kat

  • Sometimes the old fashioned way is the only way to go. Speaks for their work ethic too. Glad to hear its still standing strong, hope mine does too, it's going up next week if the weather permits.

  • @jbuell311 good luck with your project. I hope the weather is better than we had!

  • 3:05 looks like he is PISSED OFF! at the fence. Lol. He's beating the shit out of it... And yeah these guys are kinda in the stone age with their equipment.

  • @jbuell311 LOL the crappy weather probably didn't help. I would have thought at least a post hole digger was needed. For what it's worth, the fence is still plumb two years later. I guess they did ok.

  • probably not good idea hammering the zinc metal pole covers at the end

  • @fl3162 agree

  • you shudnt put up the panels same day as the concrete it fucks up the fence

  • I think the narrator did a particularly good job explaining everything, I am sure I know how it's done now

  • And they are Fence installers? ?...lol..hammer and nail? Post hole diggers ..wow...come to the south and let me and my guys show you how its done...250 hand built and arched in 8hours

  • @dirtyg7734 LOL ... I believe you buddy. I bet none of those guys are sitting around waiting for Gov't checks either. Thanks for watching my video. The driveway has been widened now too, it can be seen in my recent video "short fall drive on the Cushman".

  • @dirtyg7734 Illegals are cheaper than an auger. Just sayin'. ;)

  • Not to bad on the man gate, next time fram the outside of it to prevent warping, and no one uses nails anymore on wood fences.Wait did he cut the bottom of the post off...

  • @ThemecaIV good tips, thanks. ...and yes he did. : (

  • @ThemecaIV my fence was built in year 2000, nails were used. What do you use on wood fences now?

  • Why fragment your property this way? I don't see a point to that fence. If your going to put up a fence at least do it so that it will separate your property with that of the neighbors.

  • @ziadn27 it was necessary for outside storage. right now the landscapers are out widening the driveway to meet the gates.

  • @chatrkat some more illegals I presume..... ya want some concrete in that water?

  • @irish89055 a reasonable observation but not in this case. they are a legit union shop.

  • @irish89055 your an idot!

  • @hueroski says the idiot who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're".

  • mmmmmm quiero imajinar q le salio barato pero no por q es cedro desperdicio de material para tan feo trabajo

  • LOL! not to worry, I had the property marked for all utility lines prior to the fence installation.

  • Looks like they are digging right on the phone lines.......

  • 6:25 Marker....He is one short Mexican , he used a pickle bucket to stand on to reach the top of a 6 foot fence...

  • @dontneedjack not the safest ladder is it? I guess I should have ordered a lower fence.

  • @dontneedjack so what! He is your brother and a man of action like your self. He did a great job. Lets keep it positive like mom taught us.

  • Nice bid ass gap under gate looks great!!!

  • @Badgeriowa agree but the driveway will be extended back then the gap will be normal.

  • does this require a building permit? What is the specifications on height in a neighborhood? Thanks.

  • @spareaxe yup and they check too. 6' stock max

  • I'd use use dead sand to pack around the posts. That way you don't have to deal with soft concrete and it might be better for drainage.

  • @miketonon I agree! In hind sight, should have used that rather than concrete.

  • Well it looks good. But the construction process does not. You don't bang the posts in (3:39) when the panels are nails on to the posts,Infact you shoulddent nail or screw anything on to the posts untill the concrete is dry.Try using quickrock if youo havent already it drys up the cement in minutes.Use nail guns to nail your panels instead of a hammer, otherwise your fence will end up looking crooked and it will wabble with the wind causing the post to loosen up.

    A fence constructor from Tx

  • @maymay47847 I agree with you, and even used a nail gun on that previous smaller fence for the reasons you describe. In this case, their finished job is decent and I didn't have to spend a week doing it myself! : ) Thanks for watching and writing.

  • @maymay47847 AGREED!

  • how much cash did you pay for the service of the men and the price of the fence? or how much for both added together? and how mnay total feet from one side to the other?

    thanks

  • @blp21381 aprox. 48 feet total including the gates. out of respect for the salesman from that company, I'd prefer not to discuss the exact cost. thank you for watching.

  • what about the big gap on the bottom

  • @elmtex the ground needs to be raised to match the driveway. pavers will be added to extend the drive into the fenced area.

  • @elmtex yes... He left a big gap on the bottom? easy access for snakes, racoons, rats, and human intruders.

  • Screws?

  • @mtownlobo not as many used as I would have liked. no problem I always go over a job and improve where needed.

  • The fence looks real good, how much did they charge you for the job?

    Thanks!

  • @MrRSlkr thank you, they did a decent job. out of respect to the contractor I'd prefer not to post the pricing information. I can say they were within a few dollars of two other professional fence contractors in the area.

  • it doesnt look that strong tho

  • thanks! best part, I didn't have to do it.

  • very nice informative video, i always wondered how they put up a wooden fence,,, thanks for showing us,

  • thank you! too bad it wasn't sunny and warm that day. the weather was very unpleasant so I only stayed outside for brief periods.
