Im a britsh coin collector and have got a mass collection of british £5 coins including britannia 1999 one ounce of fine silver(rare) but to get a coin that the royal mint accidently circulated would be the top of my collection, they are not likely to make tis mistake again, so i hope i do get one, as in a few years they will sell for hundreds, even thousands.

Great correctly informed video. You used all the correct terminology. even the "London Mint Office" doesn't get it right! It calls the tails side the front!!!!! As you well know the head is the obverse and the tail is the reverse. Also nice to see you comment on the fact that the £7,100 might not have been paid. I've checked the feedback of some of the sellers and they have NO FEEDBACK regarding these sales. I sold 4 out of 5 I previously bought 3 months ago and just about got my money back!

I've seen auctions at near £20,000.

Prior to these being featured on the news they where selling for about £20 to £35 each. I have no idea why they jumped in price afterwards. I can't imagine any real collector would pay more than £50 for one!

I expect they will be back down to this kind of level in a few months.

There are supposed to be 50,000 -200,000 out there. I wouldn't class that as rare. I do think they are over rated. My mate's coin was bid up to £114.00 on eBay.

Be insteresting to see which way the price goes in a year or two.
