@aussiilady4lyf thankyou and yeah i had listen to jimmy barnes when i was about three! and i have always loved it when he screamed in some of his songs!

My hubbies all time favourite song along with working class man - and yes he's a truckie through and through - you can take the man out of the truck but you can never take the diesel out of the veins! Love you Dougie xxxx

I'm 16 and I listen to this song all the time, I'm just a sucker for slide guitar and this is truely an amazing introduction and an amazing song. Was lucky enough to see Jimmy live at Mick Cock's support concert and his voice just blew everyone's ear drums out, absolutely amazing... My dad's a Truck Driver and he always tells me how hard they can have it on the roads, thankyou Jimmy :) nothing beats Australian Rock n' Roll

@CinderellaInBlack When ALL the travellers in the World come to Australia, it's unique for the wild life and scenery, like any other country... but we have Chisel and Jimmy... the greatest rock secret thet will bloom as the years go on!!! good on you for great taste!

Last Frontier - for me the best song... I really love Jimmy Barnes (I´m from Germany) - his music helps me a lot in the year 1989. I was 18years old, a lot of problems, BARNESTORMING was my first album I ever bought :) THX FOR UR MUSIC JIMMY

all of barnsey's songs are the same if not BETTER than the CD versions.. he's freakin awesome! i scream my lungs out and lose my voice after 5 songs, how the hell he does it is beyond me :)
national anthem of Australian truckies, jimmy you nailed the feelings of drivers leaving home and being behind the wheel all week. My all time favourite, thanks.
1st:: I drove for over 3,000,000 miles, and this is the only truck-driver song I ever liked. 2nd: I loved cranking up Jimmy's Freight Train Heart, just before crossing the George Washington Bridge, to get me in the mood for driving in NYC.
And, oh yeah,, 3rd: David Lindly's opening to Driving Wheels is absolutely killer.
Sounds like he used Lava Lamps for out-put tubes in his amp. Finally...
"Freight Train Heart:" truthfully: One of the greatest un-sung albums of all time
Compare this song to the fuckin shit they have now. That faggot Guy sabastion singin whos that girl walk walk walk in the club. I mean how fuckin crap can you get. Go barnsy
whats Aussie? The chisel, mullets, driving trucks, headbangin bogans, ANZACs, Poida, footy, saying '' how ya garn alright?''. Singin the Australian national anthem ''Australians all let us ring Joice for we are young and free, with Barnsey and Mossy and footy for toil our land is bogans by sea.
This song is a must for any driving on Our Aussie roads...Just sit back put your foot on the accelerator and let Jimmy do all the work..Never ever grows old...Superb era in Aussie music
3 Pedals, one gear stick and a steering wheel. No computers or gadgets, no automatics or trick aids in the old crash box. No air con or GPS, just man and machine. Awesome.
barnsie's management apparently asked my stepdad if they could film his truck on a dirt road for this video. apparent;y he told them to get fucked i just washed it lol

The Ultimate Truckie Anthem...and it's true, without trucks deliveries all across the land would come to a grinding halt and stop, so whenever you truckies hear this song, honk your air horns nice and loud in a symphony salute.
Diesel played the slide,,,,,thats the reason i picked up a 6 string,,,and now write song myself in the gist of this one,,,,,,thank you sir,,,,Jimmy Barnes is King
I've driven from Melbourne to Cairns then Darwin and finish at Adelaide. About 10000 km. listening music like this, coming from a small town in Europe it's been the best experience of my life. Love Jimmy, love Oz and love Aussies!
Great song - the Foxtel music channels must not have this music video as I have never seen before and it is never included in their great driving songs countdowns. I also love the trucks which reminds me a bit of the clip to Slim Dusty's Pub With No Beer. Great lyrics in this include: Rhythm of the highway as it rolls on bye - Like a shooting star across a desert sky. I saw Jimmy perform at Doncaster Shoppingtown in October 2006 and he did not perform this song - much to my disappointment.
I first heard of Jimmy Barnes around the mid-80s when rumors were flying that he was going to replace Brian Johnson in AC/DC. Wow! What a treat that would have been! Although I love Brian, his voice was shot by 1985 and Jimmy's lasted decades longer at high level. He would have been the perfect fit. Now we can only speculate on what might have been. What a great talent!
