I think the problem isn't with traders, but with the government supported "traitors" on Wall Street that have created the financial disaster globally.
you can be a trader and investor is someone who risks capital to gain for future profits is one whom gambles and thus lottery ticket buyers are investors but not good ones or at least will use lottery ticket with good risk v reward and thus maybe spending only micro fractions of your bankroll on it.
Day trading is the same as betting on the Packers-6.5 which is a smart investment choice IMO
I like to trade securities with money that I can loose and not have trouble sleeping over. I keep my savings in physical and do not trade my savings. I see it as more of wealth preservation than an investment. However I believe that I will sell at some point in the next 5 to 7 years when I see an opportunity to shift it into something that will produce residual income like property.
