  • @ShowYourWorking

The origin of species : complete and fully illustrated edition from the 70's. Don't remember who did the drawings. Will look on Amazon for which version to see if I recognize the cover.

  • This Christian organization should be sued for all their worth for plagarism, misrepresenting Darwin's book and for copyright infringement.

  • Evangelicals often love to lie and deceive just for Jesus. It's called lying for the Lord and they're really good at it. As long as people come to their way of thinking and come to their Churches and give their money to their pastors and organizations it's all well worth their time. They are a total joke and a bunch of hypocritical liars.

  • FUCKING PWNAGE!!!! Thanks man.

  • Outstanding project, DF. Nice job here!!

  • Well done!

    -"Mo"

  • Heck I'd take a free bible if they were handing it out, I could always use a paperweight.

  • tyciol:

I'm currently using the Koran and the Bible as book ends.

  • Must be a heavy book carrying all that bullshit.

  • SovietKent:

The Bible and the Koran are small compared to the Torah. If the Bible and the Koran make good book ends, then the Torah would make a good foot stool.

  • How many of those people handing out these books do you think read past the 50 page introduction by Ray Comfort?

  • zero

  • AtheistAtLARGE:

That's what I thought. They could have at least read the more accessible 'Evolution For Dummies' book.

  • Well actually Tony Milano the lawman guy that heads up WOTBs different programs said he was reading it, so he could say he read it, and he states that most people that ask have you read it, havnt.

The thing is, most people that ask have you read it dont need to have read it, theyve gotten the information of it from other sources, classes and books

  • AtheistAtLARGE:

Your comment on people getting information about the Origin of Species from other books and sources is bang on! That's why I mentioned that if someone wanted even a very simplified understanding of Charles Darwin's theories, one only needs to read a book like 'Evolution For Dummies'. I read the Origin of Species in high school and had very little trouble understanding it. The illustrations helped of course. ; )

  • The illustrations are whats missing from this edition from wotb.

    So RAY LIED AGAIN !

  • AtheistAtLARGE:

WHAT! But that's the first thing that I could even imagine someone who had never read it would at least understand. I had read a few kids books that talked about evolution when I was 8 and immediately wanted to read the Origins of Species. When I found a copy I couldn't understand the wording but the pictures made sense to me. DAMN YOU BANANA MAN!

  • @AtheistAtLARGE But those illustrations were great!

And what "full color" is there if the pictures are missing?

    Sad day for book readers

  • Oh, amazing video. Definitely subbing for this quality. They had to sneak it by on a different day because they had no other choice. Although to be honest, it really hurts their message by doing so since they can't stand strong against criticism.

  • Comfort and Cameron are definately on the move. Holy Cow.

  • This looks very good AAL.....5 stars.

  • Hey Killer, 2 new vids up

  • I would like to read any fruit from such an endeavor as an antireligiously abridged version of the gospel.

  • How would Christians feel if some anti-religious group started spreading an abridged version of The Bible with an introduction pointing to all its mistakes and contradictions?

  • Damn thats a good one I should do something like that, add some of the facts of Evolution in the front

  • Don't forget cosmology, archeology, common sense, etc. when you do it.

  • great point

  • Agnosista:

Thomas Jefferson had already edited a version of the New Testament by removing all supernatural aspects and perceived misinterpretations back in 1820 called 'The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth'.

  • "You handing out bibles? I don't want it."

"No, we're giving away copies of Darwin's Origin of Species."

    "Oh, yeah, I'll take that."

Ha! The message from the students is very clear. I think once again their deceptive tactics are backfiring on them. Oh what a tangled web we weave...

  • The Bible is mythology and superstition like the Koran (Islamic), the Epic of Gilgamesh (Sumerian), the Enuma Elish (Babylonian), the Avesta (Zoroastrian/Persian), the Rigveda (Vedic/Indian), the Bhagavadgita (Hindu/Indian), the Ramayana (Hindu/Indian), the Iliad (Greek), the Odyssey (Greek), the Theogony (Greek), the Argonautica (Greek), the Aeneid (Roman), the Kojiki (Shinto/Japanese), the Popol Vuh (Mayan), etc.

The Bible says a bat is a bird. Therefore the Bible = epic fail.

  • They have removed the introduction from their web site apparently!!! Anybody have a copy?

  • Interesting. Religion = deception. Time for Part 2.

  • I say we need to write a preface for the bible, its public domain

  • We could at least print copies of the Skeptic's Annotated Bible and hand them back to people handing these out.

  • Fucking theists. Not only are they retarded, they're manipulators. Every single one of them. This is why I hate theists. They need to be taken out of society.

  • GRAND THEFT DONKEY!!!!!!

  • ★★★★★

  • I dont seem to have your font Katalyzt

  • ★★★★★ I did that with a cut/paste on a mac ...

  • Google for one of the stars - ★ - and it shows options

    alt code

    alt code star

    etc.

but I found it by searching for

    unicode star

    here it is:

    Unicode Character 'BLACK STAR' (U+2605)

  • Is there any confirmation yet as to if the work is edited abridged or censored in any way?

A preamble or preface has always been a scribes privilege on a historic work

But to alter or edit the original work is considered deceptive fraud if there is no acknowledgement to state omissions and removal of text

Especially if it is being distributed to educational institutes as a complete and unaltered work but with an add from its sponsor stating his personal view

    I'll watch part two

  • According to Comfort's website, "Nothing has been removed from Darwins original work. Anthropologist and executive director of the National Center for Science Education, Dr. Eugenie C. Scott, reviewed the book and noted that Comfort deleted four chapters by Darwin that described the evidence for evolution

  • Thanks for the information.

  • That was in the book the publisher sent her early on, she got a new copy where it had those 4 chapters but is still missing key material as posted above and noted in my videos

  • On his website, Comfort said that the four chapters were chosen at random to be omitted in order to make the book small enough to be affordable as a giveaway, with the absent chapters available for download, but that the missing chapters were included in the second edition, which had a smaller text size that made printing the entire book as a giveaway affordable. The second edition still lacks Darwin's preface and glossary of terms

  • The absent chapters would be the equivalent to the juicy parts of a censored novel

Its like they are inviting to not waste time reading the lead-up

Come straight to our site to read the parts we don't like

Its a wonder he didn't just hand out a CD

Would have been a lot cheaper

    I shouldn't give out ideas

But who would take a CD when Printed book with a deceptive cover is offered instead

  • oppps! the previous post were cut 'n'paste from Wikipedia

  • There would have to be a disclaimer stating that it was a condensed version on the preface

Even readers digest gives notification of condensing books

If there is a link to the removed parts there should be clear notification in the book

  • It is abridged. It even says it's abridged on the livingwaters website.

  • No offense intended but when I was a christian i would have possibly helped out with something like this, but I would not have been trying to be delibrately deceptive. It would have been genuine and honest activity, just illinformed.

I would have made a mistake in other words.

  • Thus proving a lack of reason and rationality due to theism

  • Boy did you ever nailed that guy. I hope he starts to look at WOTB in a more critical eye.

  • They give their fraudulous book deliberately not saying that it is for the purpose of a christian propaganda. Hey it is a sin!

NB: Evolutionary thinking in Germany was determined by the translator of Darwin's Origin, paleontologist Heinrich Georg Bronn. Bronn viewed evolution as a march toward perfection but not Darwin, a view that Bronn liberally injected into his mistranslation. He added many footnotes, and even a 15th chapter to expose his own interpretation of evolution. Today ,same fraud
