have you ever used the heating method for arrowhead making? you can also heat the fling in a fire, and then use water, dropped from your fingertips a drop at a time to flake off the chips, less strength involved. This method is ONLY to be used with glasslike rock that stays "fluid" Otherwise you can shatter the rock and really cut yourself. Heres a hint, if you can break the rock into moderately flat pieces, you can water chip it.
Hey tim great video this what you are doing is very true. At one time it was thought that only antler and or bone could do this and you are showing that this was done in a different way all together, we just wanted to make this point sharp and ready to use. Thanks for posting
