  • Oh My Goodness. This is enchanting!

  • This is most lovely version I have seen.

    Thank you so much ~

  • beautiful. This is just amazing. I'm doing research on the lady of shallot for are class assembly at school and I think this is probably the most beautiful video i've ever seen!

  • Dear God. Please tell me you're putting this to DVD, selling it, keeping it online SOMEWHERE permanent..

  • How beautiful. Utterly haunting, and the music fits the piece perfectly. I literally cannot come up with anything else to say - the video is absolutely wonderful.

  • This is voice of Enya but I don't remember this song...

  • Lady of Shalott is not a Enya's song. It's a Loreena Mckennitt's song.

  • I love this poem and also the paintings it makes me cry whe I see some of the videos its so sad how it ends

  • This was gorgeous! You did an excellent job of turning the poem and the painting into film... :D

  • an exceptional piece of artwork and sensitivity... it took my breath away and filled my heart with a sweet literary melancholy

  • wow breath taking, you did a wonderful job.

5* I did my own version of Lady of Shalott but is nothing compared to yours :)

    Elena

  • Beautiful video!

  • Beautiful.... PLEASE KEEP EM COMING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Curiosa transformación del tema "Isobella" de Enya. Bonito video.

  • It's really beautiful. Thank you

  • you definatly did the paiting justice. absolutely beautiful...

  • I Love the original poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, and the painting, this vid is awesome!!

  • love it:)

  • I'm just starting out on these Videos - and I had wanted to let the music run a bit over, but I thought it was too long in the 'black screen' - my edit is less than perfect - to put it mildly. Thanks for the tip in yours - I'll take a chance next time. As for your movie, I thought you created a beautiful atmosphere and as Lancelot 'mused a little space;

    He said, "She has a lovely face;

God in his mercy lend her grace, The Lady of Shalott."'

Thanks for the lovely video. C.

  • Lovely!

  • Waterhouse's painting of TLOS in Bullfinch's mythology is one of my earliest memories.

    Great video.

  • beautiful, favorited, 5 stars.

  • very nice

  • very lovely, but was expecting the poem to be read as well. :)

  • Lovely video, I cannot do it better^^

It´s fantastic and represents the sadness of Elaine of Astolat.

  • I'm a little disappointed by the lack of conflict - my favorite part of the poem is when the lady says "I am half sick of shadows." To me it seems much more dramatic and in direct defiance of her fate. Here she just kind of drifts along. Still, very beautiful, and well done.

  • Great video!!

    It convinces me.

And I also approve of the choice of "Isobella" played backwards (I sometimes listen to Enya songs backwards, and my favourite is "Flora's Secret"): it fits the images and the colours. Loreena McKennitt's "The Lady Of Shalott" is my favourite song of all time, but this video is very, very good: putting Loreena's voice in it would have been too easy.

  • I concur - lovely video, but definitely need to put Loreena McKennit's voice/music with this!

  • Very elegant play off of the painting/poem. It is a pleasure to watch. Congrats on a job well done!

  • The song isn't Smaointe from Shepherd Moons, it's Isobella, from A Day Without Rain. I reversed the song to put my own stamp on it you could say.

  • What software did you use to edit this and play the music backwards? I love this video. Do one with Loreena's version of The Lady of Shalott.

  • Why did you use a song played backwards?

  • Isn't that "Smaoinim" from Shepherd Moons playing backwords?

  • I like enya... but the song of loreena is better!

    Thats my opinion.

  • I agree.

  • the pictures are really beautiful, but the music is a bit boring

  • that was absolutely beautiful.

  • Magical!

  • Are you considering becoming a film director? If so, please talk to me! I really like what you see.

  • Beautiful, beautiful!

  • Wow.. that is very nice :))

  • Brilliant! This is stunning, and must have taken you forever. They should really make films like this. :(

  • beautiful

  • This is Enya's Isobella backwards...hmmm...

  • This music is a Enya song backward.

I used to listen some other Enya songs in that way also lol it gives another song.

  • This was absolutely wonderful! I love Waterhouse and Brian Froud...and Loreena Mckennit, Excellent! I just posted my own version of Loreena Mckennit, Wiccan Dance. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • nice video... The song you used is actually called "The Mummers Dance"

  • last comment in response to purplpoppi regarding wiccan dance oops my bad

  • Gorgeous music and visually so stunning, I would also love to see Loreena McKennitt's put to video! Very beautiful!

  • Is the song Isobella by Enya backward lol even in this way the Enya music continues amazing.

  • Wow, that was very beautiful.

If you ever wanted to and had the means to make a long story version of the poem then Loreena McKennitt's "The Lady of Shalott" could really use a video.

    Bravo!

  • EXCELLENT FILM DIRECTION AND ART CONCEPT.

  • So beautiful! Aaaaah! I loved this so much!
