@myastroflight Both the Samkhya and the Mimamsa schools of Hindu philosophy reject the existence of a creator god, making them explicitly atheistic from a Hindu perspective. Buddhism doesn't promote or deny the existence of a god or gods & there are more atheists than theists in that religion. Confucianism and Taoism were not founded on faith in a creator nor do they pray to one. There are pagans in Europe who consider the existence of their gods strictly metaphorically.

I've just been speaking to a bunch of Northern Irish, and for them it's not about what's true and what isn't true, it's about supporting your team. You were either born Catholic or born Protestant, and either way, that's your team. Just like I was born Boro and some of my mates were born Magpie, and some other people are Man U or Liverpool. Now, I know that both Man U and Liverpool are better than Boro, and they're better than the Mags too.

Irony aside, I believe Atheists/Agnostics to be the most tolerant minority. Having the highest population of any minority, we receive the least amount of representation.

Book sales are hardly an indicator of a religion's validity. More like a symptom of how numerous and/or devoted its followers are.

There are approx. 38,000 different denominations and sects making up this number.
