I was born and raised in Oskaloosa. I lived in Beacon until I left in 1957. I hardly recognize the town anymore except the Park and the Bandstand. Nearly everything else has changed. It is still a pretty little town and I have many fond memories except for the cold winters which I don't miss that much.
