Your review was very helpful, thank you. :). The scariest game I've ever played was Painkiller on the original Xbox. The game had huge enemies, darkness was the norm, and it was normal for something weird to jump out at you.

on PS3, Not really, it's this and Silent Hill. Only others that come to mind are Condemned 2 and Resi 5 but I aint a fan of either. The First Condemned on the 360 is the last game I played that actually scared me.

The FEAR series is good but not exactly scarey.

Nope.

Only 3 games have ever scared me. RE1 when I was 10, SH 1 when I was 12 and Condemned 1 when I was 18. I just don't find games or movies scary, but RE and SH had really eery music and noises that got to me when I was younger and Condemned is just evil. It really is evil, I can't believe hoe scary that game was.

@DEIVION212 Yeah, it's same with me. Have you played Fatal Frame 2 or 3? I hear all the time that people consider them scary. I personally haven't played them, but I intend to do so.

I had 1 and 2 for the X-BOX but I got them right at the end of the X-BOX's life span, and it really was right at the end as my X-BOX died just before the 360 came out, so I never got to beat either one, but I was loving them and would love to see them hit the PS3.

But from what I did play, they had a tence atmo but I still didn't find them scary.

I would recommend Condemned 2 over this. It's just way better. Graphics, controls, story. Pretty much everything. The old Silent Hill games are pretty scary. And even better than Siren. Siren BC looks like a turd when you compare it to Silent Hill games. RE5 is not scary and it's pretty flawed. So unless you play RE5 co-op it's a waste of money and no fun. Oh and also Dead Space is really good.

So to summary. Get Dead Space and Condemned 2! Good games for this gen-consoles.

Siren is my second favourite series but they are notorious for their difficulty. I like this game but I found it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to dark.

In my opinion, this is the best survival horror game since Silent Hill 2 (obviously not as good as SH2 though as it is king). It is the first game to actually scare me since SH2, not counting aliens jumping out at me in Dead Space, which is also good. But yeah, really get the game if your a fan of classic Silent Hill gameplay. The story is very very good, and if this game could get the proper exposure it could be the successor to the now-lame silent hill series. Do it now

Sone games can't DL while playing, which is a shame. But yeah this is a DL. You can disc it though, so if you don't want to eat up 10gb of room, might be best buying the disc :)

Even then it's the updates that MS do that are the porblem, every time I done one my console would act screwy and then every other time it'd die. I've had 5 damn 360s (Warranty covered 4) and not all were RROD, some were cable port problems.

The 360 is both a great and crap machine at the same time, because it's features are great but it's hardware is appauling!

I wish I could crossbreed my 360 & PS3 together, lol. Keep about 80% of the PS3 and have the 20$ of things that are better from 360.

Shotguns with rifle slugs can easily reach a good distance. The scope is a red dot style. Good review. So far this is the only true horror game I have played on the PS3.

It's an impossible question to give an honest answer as it's all down to skill. But I'd class myself as rather good as these types of games and I find it hard.

I finally decided to download it but the first episode felt way too short. The demo felt longer (and you could shoot shit) which I think could hurt the game say if someone went from demo to just seeing how the 1st ep plays out it could be a turn off, which is sad because its a great horror bit. But yea the wait is my only problem. We need more s.h.(survival horror not Silent Hill lol SH king of s.h.) Because though RE5 is great it drops the horror and manages to feel like a linebacker with a gun

It doesn't though, I'm on the U.S PSN now and it's $40 for all 12 episodes or you can buy episodes 1-4 for $15, 5-8 for $15 and 9-12 for $15. So the max it would cost is $45 and that's if you buy it in installments.

There's no add on DLC for it :)

You could always import it, PS3s are region free. I plan on getting it and that's what I'll be doing. Play-Asia is a good site for this sort of thing, you should check into them.
