  • We are in love with Prague - this is why we created a page for tourists who want to spend more time and money on enjoying the city than overpaying for their stay. If you are thinking about a Prague Holiday -please use our tool, it searches all Prague Hotels and every website to ensure you pay the cheapest price for your prague stay.

  • Cuban press hates the velvet revolution

  • @folladordeprostis : Its logical, we have some good industry here and we exported many things to other communist countrys and after revolotion .... you know the rest :)

  • But the main tourist adventurers: DD ... The boys in the Czech Republic can legally smoke marijuana .. so be it tastes ... We are half Dutch

  • I love Prague. I lived in Prague for months and I died a little bit inside when I had to leave. My last "na shledanou" weighed heavy on my heart.

Prague is stunning. It's as if the city was designed by a painter, the city is made to be beautifull. Nothing is exagerated, every building adds to a charm amplified by the centuries old monuments.

On top of the cities beauty, there's just a feeling in the air. Culture and arts are everywhere. Czechs are amazing people too.

  • Ahhh I've been there few years ago. Really amazing, beatiful city.

    Lots of love from Lithuania!

  • As a Czech patriot I'm very happy that you like Prague :-)

  • I was there last January. Rarely seen a city so cold, yet so stunning ly beautiful and mysterious. Longing to go back. Even freezing and at night time, it was wonderful. Czech people are brave and proud. i love them.

Not only Prague is super romantic, it is also a crazy party city.

    a Fan from Hungary.

  • when is the best time of year to study (weather, etc.) in the spring or in the fall semester?

  • @jordanUnverzizzle spring would be better. In fall its kinda cold.

  • @jordanUnverzizzle - In the spring, because weather in fall gets cold very quickly. Nowadays is very nice spring weather in the Czech.

    hi from Istanbul

  • I want to go to the Czech Republic so bad. Especially Prague.

  • Prague is WONDERFUL. Like a fairytale...

    LOVE LOVE LOVE from Sweden.

  • Prague is not a city...it is a dream God created in secrecy. To make it even more inaccessible to keep mere mortals out of it,God invented the Czech language.

I walked around like in a day dream, fascinating narrow streets, beautiful squares and parks, spires that reach up to the sky like many pious hands thanking God for this earthly miracle called Prague.I just fell in love with the city, its people and the awesome food.BTW, Czechs are the most beautiful sexy people I have ever seen.Best PIVO too

  • @pourmoinyc Thank you for warm words about my home :-) I have seen a lot of cities in europe, but I'm always happy to be back in Prague. :-) Vienna is also absolutely beautiful, Dresden too, Barcelona..

  • @pourmoinyc thanking God for Prague and the Czechs ? Maybe you should know this people are the most atheist one in the world, like 70/80% of 'em don't believe in God.

  • yes, it is 3:16

  • It reminded me of Disneyworld in the height of season-way too crowded with other tourists, detracts from enjoying its beauty.

  • I LOVE Prague. It's one of my favorite cities along side NYC, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Manila. I would love to visit Prague someday.

  • Hi there czech people. I'm a spanish guy and will in prague for 2 or 3 days during the third week of september and would like you to give me some advice about places to visit and clubs to go out at night. Thanks.

  • sooo beautiful *__* i must visit it!

  • I have been there and of all the cities i saw in Europe this was my favourite. Will be back there in two years time. I did not try ox tongue in Prague but that was a favourite of mine when i was young so would not hesitate. Do yourself a favour and put it on your itinery - i was suprised when asking friends if they wanted to go with me the looks i got when i mentioned Prague as it is just east of Germany and such a living dream. A very easy going place too.

  • Ive been to Prague its a Gothic Fairytale i just fell inlove with it expecially at night i want to go back in the dead of winter in the snow next!!!!

  • Of course its expensive, like any other capital city like London and Paris.

    Its a beautiful city however.

  • czech people are the most unpleasant people you can meet.

speacially in the restaurants the waiters or the shop keepers or the salesman.

many time they will say things in czech and will not talk to you in english even they can.

    they just want your money.

but they dont know what service means.

    good luck in prague.

some sample cursing you may hear:

    ty vole,do prdele

  • @ThePunkyjoe Hello, I think, our people are the same people as how they behave towards them... Perhaps you know what I mean...

I´m from Prague and I´m in center of Prague every day and I´m helping tourists.. and not only me..

I dont find unpleasant people in my life in Prague. But when they come obnoxious jerk, they know what to expect...¨

It´s true and please, don´t write anything bad about Prague.

You try to go to other capital cities...

  • @ThePunkyjoe

i didn't find that true at all. all czech people we came across were helpful and very nice

  • @ThePunkyjoe nice that you piss on your own people!!! Idiot! not everyone is like this. you see only bad sides, you can find out this behaviour everywhere. how about to be proud on what you are and where are you come from???

  • Can't wait to visit Prague!

  • Tourism has gone drastically down in Prague, due to too high prices, especially compared with what you get for your money also in terms of service in other Capitals. And they are always draggin' tourists around to the same places - as shown in this video.

  • @ludek92 haha.. right ! : ) they´ d see big things ! :P

  • "Prague has been the capital of the Czech Republic for more than 1,100 years" - I am so embarrassed to be British.

  • @usenetposts

    No only Czech, also CzechoSlovakia.

  • @DusHan362 Hahaha. :D Slovakia - Bratislava Czech - Prague.

  • nowdays prague is just a shadow of its former glory and magic... if you think it has a spirit, is perserved, ancient and unique... good lord, you should see how it looked just before the 20th century, when a great rebuilding and irreversable changes on a -massive- scale were made.

tourists are impressed by prague ancient look and feel. Yet it is NOTHING compared to what it was just a hundred years ago... so much pity. It is still beautiful, but when you know it was so much more...

  • @HergotH01 Despite the atmosphere you breathe!

  • I love Prague! It's one of my favorite cities.

  • My from is Prague!!!!! x**

  • i love prague

    is beautiful citie

  • any other I mean

  • The head priest at the church said they didn't have cameras, and even if they could identify the thief, most likely couldn't get him. FYI - We're from NYC, so we're pretty savvy about wathcing our backs, but the professionals really know how to work their targets, and probably took advantage of us letting our guard down in the church.

The food in the hotel (Hilton) was way better than any we had in the local restuarants, so be safer & stay at the Hilton. They had guards everywhere in there!

  • Went to prague November 2009. Thanks for this post, it gives a nice sliver of the charm of this very historic yet modern metropolis!! There is no shortage of things to do and to go , plus the huge Train Station is like a hub linking all parts of europe to The Golden City.

  • the people are the main remanent of the communism worst food ever not to speak about the service- none.

BTW there was no revolution but they call it velvate one.

Restaurants as u could see are usually too expensive and u can find at home.

The country relay on tourism which went down due to crazy pricing with no limits.

Nice architecture and the Jewish quater that surprisingly was dropped here. Kafka's city and the Golem story happened there.

  • Czech food is better than most food in Europe - but it's certainly a developed (or acquired) taste. Service in restaurants is not any worse than in any other salary-based service industry. "Velvet Revolution" actually happened. It's called "Velvet" because it was peaceful - and it was against Communism. There are many things in Prague that cannot be found elsewhere, you just don't know how to search.

  • you don't know anything about how it was through the revolution so shut your mouth ....

  • It is velvet revolution.

  • @fieldsoflove1 : there wont be any Izrael without Czechs, so shut your mouth :)
