The video dsnt explain anything persay, but its just trying to show that theres a hole in the sole of the shoe and a nail is nailed to the floor with a little of its neck sticking out. What Michael Jackson and the background dancers do is stick the sole on top of the sticking out nail and so when u lean, the nail prevents u from falling. The video just shows that one of the dancers messed up by not being able to properly take his shoe out of the nail, which pretty much explains the illusion.

The explanation is the shoes have something in or around them or connected to them that lock so that you can lean without completely falling. If you lean forward you'll obviously fall, but if you have the lock things or whatever here anyone who leans forward won't fall, simply because there is something in the shoes, or maybe the legs.
