I think if you change the air vents the game will be too hard for pugs and too easy for organized play. You'll see scores every 2 seconds which wouldn't make the game fun. I like it the way it is. It gives you a choice either take your chances with the vent or go around the long way..
Hey Zybak You should make a sweet guide for grinding for Sith Assassins. Also you should show your keybind set up and where you put your hands when you pvp. I never played WoW or Rift or any MMO similar to these and I would really like to learn how to PvP efficiently :P
@YetiRSVlogs It's not that hard. Go to ESC find option that says keybinds. keybind away. You can pretty much redo your keys in any game, it doesn't have to be an MMO.
@muzetafaz I'm not saying how techincally lol, like how does he run his keybind setup, which keys for the slots etc. I can't find a comfortable keybinding for my moves that are close by the wasd keys.
The air vents its more like a challenge if you don't like it go the other way, I think its better that way, the other stuff needs some work but really the game just came out, wow never had dummys after a bunch of year and stop trying to make it work like wow its perfect the way it is rigth now just give it some time.

This game was the biggest waste of £45 lol. The PvP is soooo clunky and broken as is the animations on basicly everything. This games PvP system dosnt even come close to Wow's. Do you really need to start telling the creators of the game how to run it, that is exactly what ruined WoW. Just because you are used to certain things in WoW that you liked doesn't mean that every game should have it be the "norm" to have them. (Also, the air vents are supposed to be a option to help or ruin the game and they are there for people who want to take the risk in order to win.)

Great video and I agree with everything you've said! But for people saying it's a wow clone....you gotta be fucking kidding me. This thing is basically an RPG while leveling... If you like star wars, I can guess you will enjoy this game. If you like mmos, I highly recommend it. The pvp can use a little tweaks but so far I'm loving it! Give it a chance and in a few years wow will be on it's last legs (especially with GW2 coming).
@FitzFran Trust me, don't judge it before you've tried it. It's impossible to know what a game is like just by looking at it. It's a really well made game and I'd say it surpasses WoW in almost every aspect.

@fpcoolw To explain yourself you are going to have to do more than just say, "because they are random." That can't be all there is to it because if that's the case then the random critical hits, random procs, etc. all need to go.

@icemanlonewolf random crits is something that you actually has a tiny bit of controll over, the overall mmo pvp balance is garbage so if you wanted to try to make the most balanced game ever then you could remove proc and stuff. The random airvents is about as stupid as you having random traps all over the map that just opens and spawns randomly under a player and kills them...don't see why anyone would have to argue against why random airvents would be stupid ^^
@fpcoolw You actually have more control over the air vents than you do crits. You can choose to step into the air vent or to avoid them entirely. Crits are going to happen in this game regardless of what you do. You can increase or decrease the chance of crits with gear, but random crits are still going to happen.

I not once said the air vents should or should not be changed. All I said was if you are wanting to change them based on the fact that they are a random and ("random is bad") then it stands to reason that you would want the other random things removed from the game as well.

@icemanlonewolf MMOPvP is never going to be balanced due to the fact of all the randomness in the game, however I dont belive anyone would like a game where there are no critts, no proccs etc because it would most likly get boring after a while. @liminted6215 No. Headshots for instance in FPS games are basically critical hits. Also in some RPGs critical hits are not random and instead are based on button timing.
I'm not even sure why you would ask that based on my original comment anyway. If random air vents should be removed because random is bad then why not remove the random critical hits as well?

I want them to change the lag, the time it takes for my skills to activate is just ugh, I activate a skill and it takes a almost a whole second(in pvp time its alot) before it does anything.. Also to somehow fix the canceling of the skills, ex. I try to snipe so I press 2 rapidly (PVP), for some reason it would either cancel the skill, or do it and do its 1.5 sec activation time and then simply do nothing, no damage.

Hey guys, the way to make this game better is to Copy WoW, but fuck playing WoW.

Im sure that Bioware have had all of this in their mind when making the game that ur mentioning Zybak, but the thing is, if they add everything you said right now in SWTOR, its just gonna look EXACTLY like WoW, but just with an enhancement. Dont get me wrong, i love your ideas and all that stuff, but SWTOR with those changes is gonna be just like wow, but with an enhancement :P.

@fpcoolw To explain yourself you are going to have to do more than just say, "because they are random." That can't be all there is to it because if that's the case then the random critical hits, random procs, etc. all need to go.

@icemanlonewolf random crits is something that you actually has a tiny bit of controll over, the overall mmo pvp balance is garbage so if you wanted to try to make the most balanced game ever then you could remove proc and stuff. The random airvents is about as stupid as you having random traps all over the map that just opens and spawns randomly under a player and kills them...don't see why anyone would have to argue against why random airvents would be stupid ^^

@fpcoolw You actually have more control over the air vents than you do crits. You can choose to step into the air vent or to avoid them entirely. Crits are going to happen in this game regardless of what you do. You can increase or decrease the chance of crits with gear, but random crits are still going to happen.

@fpcoolw Randomness making MMO PVP worse is an opinion and if you believe randomness is the plague to competitive MMOs and the reason why the air vents need to be changed then the same goes for critical hits and the other random factors of the game which could easily be changed. If you disagree then you are being a hypocrite in regards to your feelings on randomness in MMOs. That's my sole point.

@icemanlonewolf I dont get your point, you dont think the airvent randomness should be changed, but if they did you would also like to se crit being removed? the random airvents are just a broken gamemechanic, why should something be like that be baced on luck? if you jump on an airvent and fly straigth into a firepit you and your entire team suffers from it, eventho it was in no way your fault. I have no idea what point you are trying to get across tho :P

I not once said the air vents should or should not be changed. All I said was if you are wanting to change them based on the fact that they are a random and ("random is bad") then it stands to reason that you would want the other random things removed from the game as well.

@icemanlonewolf And you don't understand what a broken game mechanic is. The air vents work and they work as intended by the designer. You can argue whether they improve or hinder the game, but the mechanic is certainly not broken.

@icemanlonewolf MMOPvP is never going to be balanced due to the fact of all the randomness in the game, however I dont belive anyone would like a game where there are no critts, no proccs etc because it would most likly get boring after a while. Maybe the mechanic is working as intended but the idea behind the gamedesign for the airvents is very stupid, the design is just as stupid as a random trapdoor, that migth open just as you are about to hand in the ball at huttball, unnessesary and stupid

@liminted6215 No. Headshots for instance in FPS games are basically critical hits. Also in some RPGs critical hits are not random and instead are based on button timing.
I'm not even sure why you would ask that based on my original comment anyway. If random air vents should be removed because random is bad then why not remove the random critical hits as well?

I want them to change the lag, the time it takes for my skills to activate is just ugh, I activate a skill and it takes a almost a whole second(in pvp time its alot) before it does anything.. Also to somehow fix the canceling of the skills, ex. I try to snipe so I press 2 rapidly (PVP), for some reason it would either cancel the skill, or do it and do its 1.5 sec activation time and then simply do nothing, no damage.
