If you want to discuss about healthcare, please get your facts straight first. This is why we can't get anything done in this country.
If you look at the pay of doctors in nations with universal healthcare, their pay is more or less the same as it would have been if their healthcare were private. Even if lets ASSUME somehow their pay would be lower, they would still be the in the same income bracket.
As a doctor inthe health care system, I find "Mad-as-Hell Doctors" to be right on target! Now if we can get the obstructionists, liars, Beckers, Limpballers, and all other right-wing buffoons to shut down their phonus-balonus ravings and rantings and bold lies, maybe we can get the health care we DESERVE! This matter is not up to the nuts; the questionable, specious lies spewing forth from the right-wing nutters ARE PURE DESPERATION, intent on holding onto their perceived "power base"!
You said it! American's are kept divided by the fear mongering repeated daily by politiciahs who've found it effective in the past. The people need to come together, put aside the petty( and exploited) differences we have and come together to demand universal healthcare as a right for all. No more "SILENT AND COMPLIANT" people that allow OUR country to be sucked dry by immoral, unethical politicians that facilite the goals of for profit care...

The interview cut short. Employed people with insurance will not have access to the public option. The employed/insured are healthier. The public option will be left covering only the highest risk patrons; the unemployed and those with chronic conditions, etc. An insurance system covering only the highest risk people is going to go bust. When that happens, people against single-payer will latch on to it to prove that a public option doesn't work and think single payer won't work either.
Because lawyers are not the problem. In states where tort reform has been instituted, there has been no effect on health care costs. You either want to solve the problem or not.

He wants to squeeze the doctors & big pharma and completely kill the insurance industry, but he doesn't say a peep about the lawyers.
When did healthcare become a "right" anyway? What's next? A house? A car? A job? America, you can have all that and much much more if you just get off your ass and work for it.

Single payer is where it's at. Heard Doug Henwood (excellent radio show/podcast!) mention the other day that the Gummint could buy out the whole private insurance industry--"nationalize the lot of them"--for $200 bil.
This nationalization would pay for itself in LESS THAN A SINGLE YEAR.
Remember that when the righty kooks want to talk 'fiscal responsibility'.
