  • Dude this is great stuff! Thank you so much for these sweet tutorials

  • This is pretty much the same process we used about 15 years ago in Photoshop to get the same effect before layer effects arrived. Making bevels at that time was equally time intensive but always seemed more rewarding than just clicking a button (although now I find layer styles makes life a lot easier). Let's hope Pixelmator 2.0 gets them!

  • Really excellent video P.C.!

Thanks so much! Keep up the awesome work.

  • Really Good Tutorial... Great practice, although it seems my version i've only just bought from the App store doesn't have the same options. Eg. right clicking in the layer box doesn't give me the rasterize layer option. I'm probably doing something wrong!

    Great vid though, thanks

  • wich program did you use to record the video

  • great but i dont have a rasterize option

  • It doesnt let me rasterize layer???? :(

  • @XIMacManIX ok i found it! do the steps until the rasterising bit. instead go to edit> load selection that will do the dotty out line bit. do the command click like she says and delete the black layer as of the tutorial! that works

  • Ur amazing!!! how did u learn so much??? and how old r u??? ur very smart!

  • great tutorial! Thanks for sharing

  • That is an absolutely brilliant video. Just tried it all out and I've learnt so much. Thank you!

  • @SharkTrag No problem! I'm glad you've learnt something from my tutorials!

  • how would I go about making a stroke?

  • @SDKTutor Edit>Stroke.

  • @SDKTutor Eat 1 or 2 BigMacs every day, smoke and drink as much as you can.

This is my recipe for a stroke

  • @thorington Haha!

  • Thanks,

  • outer shadow, inner shadow, lots of shadows.

    Nice video

  • WEll done!

  • You are the most professional, well spoken and intelligent instructor I have seen on YouTube! Bravo and thank you very much for providing me with so many useful tutorials.

  • @Bordens7707 Thank you so much for the extremely kind comment! It makes me happy that I know people are enjoying my videos.

  • ok,it worked this time..lol..thanks

  • when i do the command click nothing is highlighted

  • @applelife0800 There is another way of loading a selection of something. You can go to Edit>Load Selection. You need to make sure you are on the specific layer...

  • This could possibly be my first video to reach 300 views...

  • how do you command click

  • @applelife0800 This is a short-cut to loading a selection (instead of having to go to the menus). You must hold down "command", then click (with your mouse pointer) on the layer in which you want to load a selection of. Does this help you?

  • This tutorial is great! It's so easy to do, but with a fantastic end result! Keep the good work going PixelCreativity!

  • @LaTiquette Thanks!

  • GREAT tutorial! I love this effect. Thank you again for stretching my brain!

  • @DebFul52 Thanks! I thought this effect was cool, so I just wanted to share...

  • So , shift , alt , and k , gives you the Apple symbol . What other tricks do you have up your sleeve ?

  • @nannyberries Yeah, you have to press them all at the same time!

Did you know that if you wanted to see a whole library of symbols, accents, etc., you can actually go to Edit>Special Characters. This works in every single program I think!

  • I hope you do more tuts like these...

  • @Smanichi I'll definitely be creating more tutorials! I'm glad you enjoy them!

  • Awesome video PixelCreativity!

This effect just looks so cool!

    THANKS!

  • @Smanichi Thank you for the nice comments you've been giving me! I agree, this effect looks really cool!
