the best performance of this piece that I've ever witnessed.  [in my opinion]

it doesn't matter that her voice lacks colour - it makes up for so much more. I actually prefer her darker voice to coloratura - it adds so much energy and power to the piece.

Most of her work has this feel like perhaps Ms. Netrebko is indeed most suited for mezzo voice... Her bottom/mids register sounds so rich(good tone..) and pleasing to the ear but the higher stuff just sounds forced and lacks colour and tone In either case, a strong talented singer. Not sure if this particular piece suits her.

My God that 3.02 C-shouting was brutal and cruel like a stab...why someone don't force her to a compulsory performance of Pierrot Lunaire? Heia in den Bergen...rather Die Kreuze: she could kill someone, like a tiger on the stage (while I smashing the piano ahah). I think she's the only singer today really suited for II V. School. Kalman is only the appetizer, the Viennese dinner is still to be served ;-)
