these textures are WAY too clean. Everything looks artificial and I mean artificial as in it looks like god made it not humans. Theres no rough edges in the lockers or anything, no rough spots or dirty spots, its just one clean texture all around. It's kind of boring if you ask me..

Don't know about Elder Scrolls, but FPS is for action, and this may be an action game, unlike Fallout 3, an adventure/RPG like game. This game didn't seem like action, which may be because it's single player, no one plays COD on single player. It could have been like Ghost Recon: Future Soldier if it was in 3rd view, which will be a bad ass game.

one thing i've heard is that the powers you get should make it outstand from other games. i hate comparing games but thats just mass effect 2.

anyway, i'm going to wait for reviews before i purchase, i don't trust it.

wasn't that only based on the beta? anyway i don't trust critic reviews anyway. i find the total-sum of the ratings from the users give a much more reliable score, oviously if they like to boycott the reviews, you have to filter quite a few bad reviews ...

What do you mean 'based on the beta'? It was a recent version and there have likely been lots of bug-fixes since then. And that score was given by Tom Francis, a massive fan of the original. If he thinks it's comparable to the first game then it must be very, very good. What's special about deus ex is the sheer freedom you're allowed in your approach to an objective, the flexibility of the storyline and the detail of the characters. You'll have to play it to see how. :)
