I bought one of these. It has problems with power up, and the picture, when viewed via TV, flashes white to black continuously. I'm in the process of sending it back to Casio. Anyone else noted symilar problems?

@peepers56874346 Mind that the 1200fps are 1200fps of blurry crap. I would not know what to do with 300*96 somewhat. This is by all means to less.

Butt still quite nice feature but not really useful.

No pivoting LCD viewer. The only thing missing. That means you can't shoot from the hip. BUT it still seems to be the best alternative to the cheaper priced Sony HX-1, Canon SX1S, and higher priced interchangeable lens cameras with video. LOVE the FOCUS RING. Nice professional SLR-like touch.

why doesn't Best Buy carry this camera, this camera is absolutely amazing. I wish we had less digital SLR(single lens reflex) cameras on the market(where you have to buy separate lenses) and had more cameras like the casio ex-f1. And I sure wish Canon made their own version of this camera. I'm a professional photographer and I'm totally tired of SLR's. My favorite camera is the Canon G10 but is terribly limited compared to this Casio. And I'm willing to pay more too.SLR's are just a market hog.

I've started posting videos of what I've been doing with the camera for the last month. Slow motion is awesome and what I bought the camera for. In order to get good results you must have bright sunlight. The camera works well using all "AUTO" settings but things can get complicated when you start changing shutter speeds/ F stop, etc. if you want to say, capture a BB mid flight using high shutter speed. I really like the camera.

Not exactly true. It does take fine still images, but what makes this camera unique is the slow motion video it can also shoot. If only we can get Newegg to start listing this camera. I haven't found a trustworthy online camera store that doesn't have a closet full of dissatisfied customers if you do a quick search.

Ya. With that speed its perfect for action photography. But its not for me since I like the concept of being limited to only 1 picture at a time. It forces me to put more thought into what im taking a picture of. To thats allot of fun. But I would love to try this camera out when shooting guns. Ive seen vids of those slow motion gun shots and its amazing! Definitely worth the price for that use.

I've seen a few reviews of this camera, and for $1000, you could buy a better camera for taking stills. It's only 6 megapixels after all. I would really enjoy the slow motion capabilities of this camera though. Industrial high speed cameras can shoot at 10000 fps, like used on Myth Busters and by the military. Those would be fun.

If you're referring to the 60fps video, note that he said "fields per second", which means 30 frames per second because a field is half a second. If you're referring to the 60fps picture taking, then yes, it IS AMAZING!
