I had this game. Such a good soundtrack that I would play the tracks in a regular audio cd player. (The sega cd games had the game data on the first track, and the rest of the tracks after that would play fine in a regular audio cd player.)

If you're living in another country, it's also called the Mega CD (or Sega Megadrive for the Genesis). It was a CD add-on for original Genesis/Megadrive.
Arrgh, why can't I find the original Genesis Ecco II theme (AKA the most haunting and epic video game music ever). All I see is remixes and Sega CD versions. DX
The Genesis original had a better soundtrack in my opinion. Don't believe me? Just go listen to the opening theme.

Yep. The Genesis/Megadrive version is all composed on the native Genesis sound chip as well as having a completely different soundtrack.
