@jaymac508 Nobodys crying. Seahawk fans SHOULD STFU so insecure, and defensive fanboys like you won't have anything lame to brag about. Nfl films even did a segment about how messed up the officiating was. I believe its #6 on "most controversial games ever". I respect the 70's steel curtain, but I cant stand hallow headed entitled d-bags that try to defend something they're supposidly so sure about. If all of u believe pitt won it fair, then STFU and let us loyal HAWK fans lament.
has anyone wondered what would've happened if Seattle had won the Superbowl?
Simple, they would have done their version of America's Game. Yeesh..... Holmgren, Hasslebeck and.. i dunno.. Stevens. yep, that's a dynamic trio for you.. ;)
Im proud the steelers our in our division. There respected throughout the league big time. -This coming from a ravens fan hope to see you guys in the AFC championship next year!
@87shadowfox....ahhhhhhhhh booooo hoooooo......Pittsburgh won...end of story...they were better....they went through 7 straight wins and 3 straight road playoff games....they were the hotter team and the better team....period
@BuddhistNun....what a horrible draft class......Russel (out of the league and possibly biggest BUST of all time), Quinn (back up to Tebow), Stanton (out of the league, I believe), John Beck (Washington back up).....what a LAME @ss class of QB's
@dontmatchlikecaillou The entire super bowl was called bad, if Ben doesn't score the touchdown, who says they don't score on 4th down? There were calls against the Steelers that were BS but people tend to only focus on the calls that went against the Seahawks because they hate the Steelers. If you take off the touchdown and ad a field goal and take away the offensive pass interference, Steelers probably still would have won.
Big Ben comes through for the Bus.....he might have had the worst SB statistically....but what he did in the Playoffs was incredible...everything from the Trick play in Cinci..to the Tackle and 2 TD;s in Indy...to the Perfect play in Denver....... ROAD warriors in 2005.....and the Road warrior tradition continues in 2012
Here's the deal with Superbowl XL: The Steelers won. Get over it. Neither team had a very good game, by the way. Were the refs perfect, no, but the botttom line is Pittsburgh won, and no one can take it away from them.

i don't like the steelers but it is a great story how they won it that year 6th seed and the first team to win 3 road playoff games and the super bowl
Even if this SB wasn't fixed... it was still a fluky game that the Steelers had no business winning. If these teams met 1000 times, Seattle wins 999 of them.
By the way... the ref admitted later on that he blew some calls in the game, including the calls that took away 2 Seattle touchdowns (which, if you do the math, would've won the game for the Hawks). Hell, even Holmgren blamed the refs, and he's one of the classiest coaches ever. Were those blown calls intentional? We'll never know.
@mikepuppetz9 Well, these two teams met once, and the Steelers outplayed the Seahawks. Jackson pushed off, Ben crossed the goal line. (Even if he didn't it's Jerome Bettis and half a centimeter away on the next play, the Steelers would score a TD. Even if they get a FG, it's an 8 point victory). The Steelers are the best team in the modern era of football. Get over it.
@mikepuppetz9 this is the funniest thing I've ever read. If they meet 1000 times, Seattle wins 999? If not for Ben's idiotic 2nd interception, it wouldn't even have been close. There's a reason why the Steelers have been to two Super Bowls since this game and Seattle has been horrible since this game.
@mikepuppetz9....if they play this game 1000 times.....NO way in Hell the seahawks win 999 times...your are a MORON!!!!!! the Steelers were better.....Period...the Seahawks were good...but also played in the weaker conference and didnt have to beat the Colts...who were the best team that year and the undfeated at Home Broncos....they beat the SHIT skins and the Panthers???? like really??? sick competition....PSYCH....stupid comment
@lMasonFree Yeah but what about all the big plays Seattle gave up? Check them out on my channel. Or what about the fact that Seattle was 5-17 on third down and missed 2 field goals? And what about Hasselbeck's drive-killing interception? And if you're gonna whine about the calls, get them right. The offensive pass interference was called on Darrell Jackson..not Jeremy Stevens. And that wasn't really that bad of a call. It was a dumb move by Jackson to extend his arm like that.
@lMasonFree ugghhh, such a tard. SBXL was the worst super bowl ever pllayed. the steelers played like crap but were lucky the 'hawks played even worse. anyone who claims football is fixed is a butthurt, bitter man who's done nothing in his life but complain about stuff
There really have been a ton of great Colts games over the last decade where they trailed by a ton and came back to either win or lose in a tight game. In this situation they lost.
Very nice story and very touching too. Glad Bettis won it in the end. I have found most of the 'americas game' editions touching in one way or another. The only one I didnt was the GreenBayPackers2010.
I'm not steeler fan. But seeing what it meant to all of them, I'm glad they won

I found it funny how this video completely ignores the ben roethlisberger td run, and offensive pass interference call on seattle, bs.
