I don't understand why you need to take your shoes and socks off if you go into the pie head first. also, why does everyone that takes they're shoes off in this show have to untie them. They take forever.

They take them off because they're expensive and tougher to replace on-the-spot than a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. They untie their shoes either by force of habit or because the tops are too high to be able to slide their foot out.
