I loove everything about Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai X. Since I was in high school, I've collected all manga, anime series for this one. And I Do really hopes this movie won't end up just like Dragon Ballz Evolution or Tekken. I mean..come on guys..rurouni kenshin is epic, great story, strong characters, fluid action and sooo much more!! But it's relieved, at least the actors are japaneese..:)

@sandiws I'm happy to meet another dedicated fan! :) I really hope this movie will turn out good, and I got my faith in the fact that Japan knows what they're doing. Hollywood actually offered to make a Rurouni Kenshin action movie, but Nobuhiro Watsuki refused it after seing how they ruined Dragon Ball. So yeah, fingers crossed for a great movie! ^^

@myst1q88 Sure thing bro!! :) And i think it's a very good decision that Mr. Watsuki refused Hollywood. Shinta, Kenshin were japaneese, so let the Japaneese people do this, not some American actors that doesn't have any idea or feeling how to bring any characters to life.. :) By the way, i just wondering.. will Hiko seijuro appears here?? :D

I don't know much about Japanese actors but I hope this isn't another one of those adaptations starred by talentless pop stars who can't act their way out of a bag. I rather watch a movie with good actors than another pretty boy with the same emotion in every scene.

But when it gets launched abroad, it strongly assume it will have English subtitles.

@bladeofbattousai I'm glad you like it! The costumes and the scenery looks very promising as far as I can tell by the pictures. My only concern is the acting, but I've read many positive comments about Takeru Satoh's (Kenshin) acting abilities. If they manage to capture the essence of the manga and the anime, without it being over the top exaggerated with flashy effects and such, then this might be a very good movie.

@myst1q88 hi! I'm a fan of Taker Sato and I trust his skills. He's a very good actor, pretty versatile too. He played the lead role in Kamen Rider Den-O where he portrayed 4 characters. I think he'll give justice to the role. I was really hoping he'd get the role and he did! I'm so proud of him! :D

@notjades I'm sorry :(, being second favorite doesn't mean is less important for me. The one who inspire me drawing in another level was/is Ioue Takehiko-sama and for me he's the genius. Of course I admire Nobuhiro-san too, and Rurouni Kenshin is an awesome manga/anime and I love it, I really do, but the main reason I try my best at drawing is because of Inoue and his work. I'm really sorry maybe you weren't expecting me to write back but I couldn't help it. So sorry.

no face is going to be a perfect adaptation of a 2d cartoon.

@dryu92 No, what I expect for Kenshin is he's much smaller in height, with no moles on his face, that his kimono is only red and his tsuka is black and not brown. If they can't find an actor with the same physical resemblance, they could at least perfect some of the details (based on the original story) like props and clothing in the set. There are some live-action adaptations that they perfected the resemblance and details of their characters, fyi.

@Minablublub I very much agree :) I was also very sceptic in the beginning, this is a difficult anime to adapt to the movie screen. But I must say it looks very promising so far, and I hope the acting and the storyline is convincing as well :)

@myst1q88 Well they just have to stick to the manga and a little bit mor to realism, than nothing can go wrong ;)... same style as the OVAs maybe. Any Idea about the plot? As far as I can extract from the trailer, there will be a combination of past an present (bakumatsu, kaoru...) maybe the story until the defeat of kanryu? but I heard, that saitou makes his appearance,too...

@Minablublub It has not yet been any spesific information as of the plot of the movie or which timeline it's going to follow. I strongly assume they wont go through the entire manga within one movie (maybe they'll make more?), but I also think they will chose a combination of past and present, though I don't think Kenshin's past as a manslayer will be the dominant part of the movie, but it's important to understand why Kenshin became a wanderer. I guess only time will tell :D

@battousaiblade It looks quite promising indeed :-) The costumes, actors and the enviroment really look quite authentic to the anime, yet very professional.I can't wait to see how Takeru Satoh (Kenshin) takes on the lead role. It sure isn't any easy character to adapt!

From the :54 picture scene, I think it might be when Kenshin saves Kaoru from the fake Battousai in the first anime episode, when she gets injured :) But of course it might be something else :)
