I can understand what you're saying,but I have seen videos where bears were fighting each other over scraps because of the salmon didnt return because of sea lice.And you are right that stringent measures needs to be imposed about farm raised food as when they were in pens they were sitting ducks for the sea lice.Farm raised should be micro filtered to keep out pest like that and grown totally on land and not returned to the wild.But wild populations are also over fished so theres the catch 22

@allen3200 it has been awhile since I last posted that and I have seen several more videos about both sides,another one was like they had returned in greater numbers and had the best catch they had in years.I still feel though more stringent measures should be taken like micro mesh to keep sea lice out for a healthier population of farm raised fish.world population is larger so their will always be a greater demand for fish and have to look 4 more sustainable ways to raise them

@tappakeggaday1 All I got to say about farm sea food is it takes 12 pounds of wild caught fish (fish food) to make a farm fish grow 1 pound Farm fish is not the way to go and its not good for you to eat

I too am a commercial fisherman and it chaps me that our goverment will give these massive subsidies to farmers some of these people that get the payments are just fat cat rich land owners that do not farm a single acre.

We seem to get no help only screwed by our goverment allowing other countries to dump their inferior seafood on our market, and the national marine fisheries cutting our catches and now they are going to allow pen raising of fish off the Texas coast.

If we do not get some help and support for the commercial fishermen we will not last the next 10 years.WE need to stop all of the relentless lies from the so called conservation groups about the fish populations and the commercial fishermen their lies are so far from the truth.And we need to change the way seafood is package so the public can chose if they want buy imported seafood or locally caugth seafood that is the freshest you can get.

its a shame that shit has gotta happen .and pretty much all you need is marking on packaging stating local and imports.cause i know myself and just bout everyoneelse i know would gladly pay more for real louisiana shrimp over imports any day. lack of labeling makes people such as myself wary buying... keep the videos coming and let everyone know what the deal is on this situation. ill keep forewarding them..have a good one and good luck from your slidell viewer.
