Because, the flesh eaters are the army of oblivion the boss of the 3rd turok. And the 3rd turok is that some kind of disease that Oblivion created are morphing the dying and the dead. I think it was Joshua that died in the beggining. At the end you must kill Joshua! And oh yeah, this game was suppose to introduce another Turok, but akklaim never made it cuz they sold the franchise!

@gangsat101 Bourgetguy was my old account. Anyhow, if I remember correcctly you are Tal Set in Turok 1. In Turok 2 you play as Joshua Fireseed. In the 3rd one Joshua gets killed. In rage Wars, idk who the fuck you play as lol, but I know the end boss is Tal Set.

There should be a 6th fake portal...I do recall there being 1 more fake portal found in the Primagen's Lightship where you see 1 last cinema involving the flesh-eaters talking to Turok.

Instead, he merely ended up creating an entirely new one, and badly injuring a nearly omnipotent being called oblivion, halting its dark, terrifying grip on the cosmos. Oblivion cannot return to full power while the primagen still exists, so it wants him gone, by any means necesary. When it discovered turoks interferance, it erected the fake portals to

deceive and kill him, scattering pieces of the nuke weapon throughout these complexes as bait. They were the only weapons that might have a chance at stoping the primagen, after all.

So your not fighting one godlike enemy in this game, your fighting two. Its not known if primagen was aware of the assistance he was getting.
