That's a fine bit of mute trumpet at the end and I love Hugh Laurie's smooth jazz blues piano style. Fantastic. This was back in the days before "reality TV" took over, when to be on the TV you had to be both talented and creative, not just a plastic titted, vacuous freak who was prepared to eat larvae or walk around a camera bedecked prison cell and allow yourself to be filmed using the toilet. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie are brilliant, brilliant guys.
@brushgently He and Morgan Freeman have such great voices, they're on teh EXACT opposite end of the scale as both Bobcat Goldthwait and Gilbert Gottfried. So of course he could. ^_^
omg thankyou so much! gotta love soupy twist! and while im here, thanks for the kingdoms too! we cant get them here in aus so its so lovely to watch them here! ta.

Of all the things I never thought I'd hear from Stephen Fry's mouth, 'Yoda has taught you well' was up near the top of the list.

Anyone else think the Modern Briton sounds fucking delicious, just because it was made by Stephen Fry?

Reminds me of a fusion of House and The Princess Bride.
House: Hey, Chase, remind me where you come from.
Chase: Australia.
House: Yes, Australia! And Australia, as everyone knows, is entirely peopled with idiots, so I can clearly not choose the diagnosis in front of you.

Stephen Fry could read a party political broadcast and make it funny. Everytime he sayd m'colleague I crack up.
Also love the look on Hugh's face at 6.59
