People who don't know the difference between a wastegate and a BOV/BPV annoy me. That's your BOV/BPV making that noise, not your wastegate. The wastegate is used to regulate the boost pressure, whereas the BOV/BPV is used to vent/recirculate air between the turbo and intake in order to avoid damaging the turbo when the throttle is closed.

I like the sound of my exhaust note when the wastegate OPENS and dumps into the downpipe at WOT... you don't need to explain to me what the difference is as I CLEARLY understand the difference between the two.
