I'm heading out there, and looking for water in that lake. Any ideas? What I'm really looking for is any source of water from the main road. Please help.

Im jealous, I went on a tow tandem with Ron on jean lake bed back in May and wanted to start taking lessons but never heard back from him. I v been very tempted to take my wing out to the ridge by myself. ps Nice flare at the end.

water? there is no water in there, it's a dry lake. Every once in a blue moon when it rains hard it gets muddy, but it's NOT a lake.

equipment: all new equipment would cost $5000 ish, you can do it for a fraction if you get used equipment.
Instruction: $1000-2000 to get a beginner rating where you can fly solo.
The greatest thing is that after you pay those costs....it's virtually free thereafter.
