For gamers, It's got to be PC, no doubt... or a console.

For more media based side of things, and people who use computers on a daily basis for simple things, your best choice is mac, for the fact that it's media building software is superior and it's user interface is more appealing.

For power users, It's a toss up, decided by exactly what you use your computer for.

Windows gets virus, but only in the hands of someone who is not computer savvy. Other operating systems that are non-mac, such as OpenSolaris, FreeBSD and all the Linux distros, don't have any viruses for them either, and their security is much better.

Since I don't use Mac, I guess that makes me a PC user, according to you. Using Linux (both Debian and Ubuntu) I can tell you that I don't have any technical problems, nor is my computer slow; it uses the resources very well.

i have an awesome computer, that is cheap cos i custom built it, to my specific needs, and i am using windows 7 rc1, which is free!! and it works absolutely fine so... yeah, macs os is just simple and uncustomizable, (which does make it lighter so there is less power needed to run it, but that doesn't matter anyway, if you have the hardware)

2. If you have decent computer hardware, BSODs are very rare. In the seven years I have owned my Acer Aspire 1200 laptop, I have NEVER gotten a BSOD.

macs can be customized too, the hard drive, ram, logic board, screen, case ect.: and the "iStuff" thing is good because if you hear "i" you automaticly think apple, and the mac software thing, mac os x has tons of freeware, shareware commercial apps, also you can run linux apps in os x natively with LINA, so f**K you, in the games department, yes, but the quality of free games in os x is far supierior to what I find on the windows side

Most ironic thing the apple corporation has done is their boot camp. Not only does it basically say, we'll let you use windows because obviously we couldn't sell you on all our over priced software.  Secondly they make you pay for boot camp? Anybody with a basic knowledge of installing windows will let you partition a hard drive to install multiple OS's for free. The list goes on. /rant
