To nudlingen's comment "Organization was started by a couple Vietnam Vets who said.."Not this time" ...
Regardless of the details of the beginning of the PGR, that IS the reason many of us stand for our nations heroes now.
Look closely at the vests of the riders on a PGR mission and you will often see stand-alone words like "DaNang", "TET" "Plei Mrong" and other remembrances of "the Nam"s un-thanked heroes. Our way of saying "Not this time". Thanks.
I had the honor and privilege of meeting some of the Oregon Patriot Guard Riders. They were able to attend my son's homecoming and all I can say is WOW!!! What truly wonderful people. Thank you to all of you for being so dedicated and for showing such honor to our troops. May God bless you all and THANK YOU!!!
These are members of the Patriot Guard Riders, who stand in honor of Fallen Soldiers, present and past.
If you need more information please go to patriot guard dot org to find out more. The Patriot Guard is Nationwide in the USA, there are some in Corpus Christy ( I got this town from your name)if you need more info or a contact, click on my name and email me.
Love your video! That is my sister Jenn Harris who is singing an co-wrote the song with Kristy Jackson. I always loved the song and want to thank you for sharing your video and memories with us. And to those men and women serving and those who have served to protect all of us...Allow me the honor to Salute You!!!
Thank you for this information. I've been looking for the artist forever, since the song was emailed to me. I hope she will not be too upset with me, for using her song. But now I contacted her for permission.
As a member of the PGR in Pittsburgh You reaffirm why we do this. Your tribute will stay in my heart and make me stand a little taller when the next mission comes. Riding with Respect for those who can no longer.. Pati (PGR/HOTH Representative District 11 Pittsburgh) (riding in memory of PFC Steven Freund KIA 5-23-2006 Fallujah Iraq)
Attend one PGR ride...Just one..You will meet the best people on the face of the earth..Organization was started by a couple Vietnam Vets who said.."Not this time"
I wonder if thatsentance started out with "Back in the ninties , at the funerals of Matt Sheppard, Gwen Araujo , the guy who played Mike Brady and so on , that wasnt a big deal but..."
