They eat there skin to absorb some of the nutrients that are still in it.
When they are about the shed the skin goes pale then white the closed they are to shedding the whiter it goes. Most the time with these guys they will hide away while they shed rubbing themselves on some to help get the skin off. So one day they may be white the next normal colour again.
All my geckos shed well. My first leo Neara is missing three toes on one foot though. After I bought her I got any shed left over from her toes off in a warm bath, and she's had zero issues since.
also i know its late but if you leo refuses to eat get a pipet the smaller the better. mix calcium and leo powder with water and press the pipet in the side of her mouth she will bite it when she does push the pipet to the back of her throat just before going down gentally squirt she will swollow you have to do it a few times a day. once she gets used to it mix high protein cat food from you vet into the mix. i had to do this for 3 months it does work
Ur geckos a fatty lol but u know what sucks my gecko yoshi it's bout to die idk why but still se only 4 its makes me so sad that she's suffering...the all just skin and bone and she becoming blind cuz she's not eating even If I force feed her she spits it out ;( plz help if u can
@AWAproductions1 same thing happened to me, even same name,....i took him to the vet and they gave me meds when we got home he died and even worse i seperated him from my other and then my dog attacked my other one and killed it.On christmas eve.....

1: Why do they eat there shedding skin?
2: How can you tell if there shedding?
Note: I see white spots on him on his bumpy part of his skin and i'm assuming he is near shedding time.
