tbh i think its like, him n ex is over,

he crys and over the time they had together and he feels better as hes convincing himself that he doesnt need her or miss her.

however he nows its not true as lyrics say 'im not lieing, denying that i feel so much better', hence why he gets drunk over night but then in the morning the cycle happens again.

i just think the song is about one single day for him and just repeats in a cycle.
