  • I disagree: the music was albeit about kungfu and "turning japanese" would have been more appropriate, however soon my disposition changed to "I'm actually glad he played this song! love it! been too long!" ;) so there ya go.

  • ppl should rlly stop and think about just how different the chinese and japanese are, wtf man. think of me as an angry faggot all you want but this song is talking about kung fu and it seems like im watching budo atm...i agree with others, it's disrespectful.

  • @MorbidMorals it's only disrespectful to those who have no joy or sense of humor in their lives. Personally I just enjoy faux martial arts experts getting their panties in a knot over it. Get over it and watch something else

  • @RoninDave I havnt watched it since. eat a dick dave.

  • @MorbidMorals thank you for the invitation but I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else who will eat your dick

  • @RoninDave naw...its gonna be you.

  • @MorbidMorals I'm flattered you think of me in such a way but my katana don't swing that way. I suggest looking in the Personals

  • @RoninDave well since you dont know the difference between kung fu and budo, i doubt you know what a katana is, sure youre not talkin about a dadao? lmao.

  • @MorbidMorals trying to impress me with your fancy words won't sway me

  • Accidently muted the music..thank god i read the comment before turning it back on...

  • You shouldn't add music.

It's better to leave the original audio.

  • The music is perfect, I LOVE IT! Please keep it here :D

  • THE MUSIC RUINED THIS VIDEO I AM AN ANGRY FAGGOT WHO CARES TOO MUCH ABOUT MUSIC AND DOESN'T KNOW THERE'S A MUTE BUTTON

  • @meirus lol! yeah some people here are geniuses aren't they?

  • Quit after 7secs after hearing the GREAT choice of music. WD

  • The Naginata facinates me each time I see it - I practice Kendo and Iaido (did Jodo for a short period in the past as well) and maybe one day I'll have enough time on my hands to spend learning the Naginata and Jodo as well.

  • change the song man, this is stupidity!

  • This song is a piece of shit, a complete insult in its stupidity and shallowness besides it 'talks' about kung fu and not karate.

  • ah, shaddup!

  • what would it matter, theres no karate in the video.

  • What good is this style in the moden world? Really man, get with the moden time, use a gun...

  • Easy question. Though the solution seems to be so straightforward, it is actually more complicated than you think. First of, not everyone carries a gun. Second, if someone buys a gun, do they have the guts to shoot someone over a silly argument? Is it really worth going to jail for and possibly ruining your entire life?

  • What a retarded answer. Lot me teach you something, not everybody carries a samurai sword, the damn sword is so big anyone could see it, but a gun, well, as we all know many people carry guns, a 38 special is best for close range shooting, and it not about having the gust to shoot someone, it's about stopping the attacker quickly. Remember, your not a bad man if you shoot dead someone who tries to kill you. Always remember, it's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

  • I understanding friend, we are both right here. But always remember what i said when i said better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. And if you don't know what this means, 12 members of a jury in a court of law, and 6 funeral men carring your dead body to be burried. So remember, if someone tries to kill you on the street, do not be afraid of the law, just destroy your attacker, even if it means killing him. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. It's a good saying remember it wisly

  • There are many possibilities for not shooting a gun at someone and if you someone does fire it off, was it really necessary and could it be prevented? It is too risky to use a gun because there are too many reasons not to use it. Also, your perspective on the modern world is a little bit misplaced.

  • @macktheknife888 I personally appreciate the art for it's beauty.

  • @macktheknife888 LOL I don't think my argument was using swords instead of guns. My argument focuses more on a psychological aspect of using guns. You argue that shooting someone who has the intention to kill you is fine (and I see your point). However, not everyone uses a gun for self defense right? And even if you do, I don't think you would normaily want to kill someone even when that person has the intent to kill. Plus, people carrying guns could use it out of anger or to threaten others.

  • nice

  • makes me want to watch The Last Samurai.

  • mames, la canción le puso en la madre al video.

  • Yes, the music ruined it all. :(

  • oh, shut up

  • you actually felt the need to comment on my channel page over this? Wow, that's pretty fucking sad, dude. Did you feel empowered when you did so?

  • cleverer than your stupid response - lighten up

  • cleverer or more clever? =P

  • Nice demonstration of martial skills.

  • ¿Por que esa canción tan fea? :s

  • I like the naginata and staff demos.

Btw, the background music is inappropriate, out of place and annoying.

  • awesome! Been a long time since i saw something this good

  • LOL every body was kung fu fighting

  • このビデオは実際に涼しい

  • i'm always wondering what the masters daily jobs are.

  • teaching their art! or idk

  • Very nice vid! Lots of heavy hitters here!

Thats Shinto Muso Ryu jodo at the beginning (Fukuoka branch). The woman with the oversized naginata looks like she is demonstrating Chokugen Ryu.

  • That looked like the style of Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu... Could it have been?

  • 0.59 secs is katori shinto ryu indeed

  • Sweet. More realistic than movies. I am tired of movies making swords look bad, like Pirates o t Carrib. Allways makes it so fake. Fencers swords aren't made for slashing dang it! Lol

  • you would know, wouldn't you? ;)

  • peoples , peoples pleace do not confuse karate and kung fu it's 2 different things temember !!!

  • what a stupid comment

  • Great just great...i really enjoy the music and the video...it remind me of the great samurays.

  • I especially enjoyed the woman with the naginata - you rarely see any of those on Western tatamis!

  • Respect!

    I m a knight from Germany and I see a great Video!

    Honnor!

    Erik :-)

  • Thanks!

If you're a knight, you should check out my 1066 Battle of Hastings videos

  • That naginata stuff is beautiful and elegant!

  • That Kendo at 2:30 is intense. ^_^

I like the video and you're right! The music does fit even is Kung Fu is not Japanese!

  • Is the soundtrack realy necessary? :/

  • read the description and bite me! It's for fun

  • I'm a lover of all martial arts and used to practise Lau Gar Kung Fu myself, but I sometimes wonder if us British have ever had anything like it in our past. Makes you wonder. Great video ^^

  • They Most likely did. But the techniques were probably less superior to Asian Martial Arts.

  • Japanese Kata is so beautiful! It raptured me.

  • NICE

  • The music wouldn't be my first choice, but somehow, it works :) I like how it's faded out in parts to register the speed of the sparring aurally as well as visually. Excellent selection of clips, Dave, you've earned yourself a subscriber :)

  • nice vid dont understand how its favoured 130 times but only has 45 ratings but what the heck ill give it 5 star too cant get enough of this music :).

  • cool

  • that was awesome man what the hell is wrong with the song it suits it.

    5 stars that was awesome.

  • yeah, you just keep thinking that

  • Shodan in karate makes you capable of taking on a person with a naginata with ease? What school do you go to, I'd love to be that good!

  • Heh. For all the naysayers about the song in the comment section, I find interesting that despite their dislike of the song, this vid has close to 20,000 views, 26 ratings tallying up to 4 stars, and it's been favorited 121 times. Not too shabby!

  • awesome video, but I reckon the music makes it sound like a parody.

  • Hey RoninDave ! I would never have figured this song with Japanese martial arts,never... but you made a great job, actions are properly co-ordinated with the beat, you are an artist Dave ..

  • Very good but different music please :|

  • no. I've already explained why several times already - deal with it.

  • Im not in this movie thing he made but I do what thoughs guys at the end were doing its fun and hurts alot the only thing I didnt like was the music cause there Japanese and the music is about chinese???

  • imma learn bushido

  • Great video material, mate!

However the sound referes to Kung-Fu, which is in fact a chinese martial arts... ;)

    Keep on the good work.

    Joe

  • Yeah, like I know that. I used the song because it's a funny, cheesy, disco song that has a dancing quality that fits the movement of the participants.

  • The choice of music is just perfect :-)

  • good to see there still some REAL masters out there still . every time they fight i wonder when ill be on their level.( most likely never -_-)

  • change to japanese song .patriot song

  • nice video ... and the musik is fine its great ...

  • Beautiful video! As an aikido yudansha, I really enjoy seeing the

various bokken styles demonstrated by REAL masters! Arigato gozhei

    imashta!

  • everything is good, except for the sinking, but the music is good, and so are the clips, cheers!

  • This is just great :-]

  • Eh? The song is a classic, you Philistines! And anyway I don't give a flip - I like it!

  • It is documented in the book of five rings, that Musashi Miyamoto was a Bus Stop fan.

  • The spirit of no-thing lives in a funky beat.

  • I quote: 'To win the battle is to be prepared to boogie down.'

  • what a stupid song

  • What a stupid comment

  • Nice clip. One suggestion: You might want to change the Carl Douglas music. The tempo of the music doesn't fit the pacing of the action on screen. (Not to mention the lyrics). But the visual edit is pretty good.

  • Sorry I like the song and the fun dance-like feel to it fits the movements even though nobody is actually kung-fu fighting

  • Great Clip Bad Music

  • Hi there! Thanks for posting this! I was the dark haired (if I have any left) foreign guy sitting right in front of you, I think. I had to run after Kyoso sensei's TSKSR, so thanks for posting some of the other highlights.
