I have the exact same set up you are looking at in the video, and it looks the same as when I bought them in 2004. Of coarse the mixer is ANALOG, so a comparison to a RANE 57 or Pioneer 800 is dismissed, because the sound is real, and not digital. I never use these for gig's, and only play my old school vinyl on them, and not one speck of gold, or whatever people might think my happen to them, has not! The bottom line is TECHNICS GOT IT RIGHT ON THESE BAD BOYZ, and they are priceless..

I sold my first my parents bought me after they realized how serious I was about turntableism. I replaced a piece of sh** set-up hat I started with when I was 14 or 15 and have never regretted it since. Didn't have a lot of money, just really supportive family for those thinking this is another guy with a silver spoon in his ass haha (actually the opposite). It's virtually the same deck underneath, but on top it's gold plated on toner arm and edge of plate. I reckon you could get the plate and toner arm and surrounding case for a cheap price from technics themselves and just put the insides from your old technics in the case, who no the difference.
