@raphaelgoulart I suspect they probably thought the game would be too hard to control if Super Sonic was included. This video seems to prove that wrong though. Can't think of any other reason why Super Sonic was omitted in the original.

This is on an emulator. But it will work on Genesis, I think. If you can write this hack on the cartridge, of course. And if you have cracked console (I don't know about this condition for launch of game precisely)

@7ChaosEmeraldsSonic theres no way to get super sonic. since you only get the 7th(or 9th depending upon how you started the dam game)emerald on the last lvl, its possible to use super sonic on the final fight with robotnik, but it insta ends the lvl

Okay, so lets say I'm in the final level with Robotnik where there's only 6 rings, would this combo work in that boss fight and would the end cutscene change at all?

No, in boss fights you can't change to Super Sonic.

And in the cutscene... As far as I know - isn't present too.

This hack is easier, than original game.

Because there is no need to collect birds.

As to Super Sonic... Control in original game the inconvenient. And for Super Sonic's speed it is even worse. But to play for him all the same it is pleasant. Too pleasant
