please help. i did every thing but when I hit next on the iso recorder (the same one your using) it says " operation has failed " because the the stream is to large for the currently inserted media. What should I do? it is a cd-r 700mb disk
when i restart the computer with the disc, it tells me to pick either Windows XP or Ubuntu.... when i click Ubuntu it does the little loading shit and then it goes to a tan screen then a black screen and it stays at the black screen.... what the fuck is wrong with this shit!!!!!
If you have a low-end system, I strongly recommend that you do NOT browse the internet, or listen to music or IM while burning your CD - infact I suggest you start burning the CD then walk away and come back in 10 minutes - as it may cause "buffer under-run" which renders the CD useless.
i had same problem. whats going on? i downloading the file and it was an RAR file saved to desktop. then i extracted it to a folder i name ubuntu ISO. there are a whole bunch of files and i dont see the ISO image. so what do i do now
Try to extract the file again, but this time target where you want the compressed file to be unzipped to. If it is downloaded as an ISO file and it is not in a zipped file, then you dont need to extract it, you just need to burn to disc.
dude my comp is fuct! it won't boot...i got this fatal exception error of not syncing or something...i dunno. my mother boards been giving me problems for a long time now.
If it is a motherboard problem, then Linux wont make any difference to it (neither will any other OS). Replace your mobo. You can buy cheap ones from ebuyer dot com.
It depends on where you saved the file, if you used a download manager then it will be stored in the default location. Look around the File System, you will find it if download has really completed.
does any cd work?

hey man im trying to burn fedora 7 to a CD but its like 100 MB too big for a normal CD. u think u could post a vid on how to get around this
DanielArmitt 4 years ago
I think the fedora iso you speak of needs to be burned to a dvd-r. I dont think i have come accross a 800mb cd-r before.
