  • I would reccomend a stainless steel waterbottle so you can boil water in it and some kind of water purifier

  • damn couldnt you use the position of the sun and a watch to find your direction like if its the mornin the sun will be in the east and later in the afternoon the sun will be in the west so you will be able to point yourself north and see if your compass is okay sure the whole magnetic north thing will come into play but at least you will sorta get your bearings if im wrong someone tell me so

  • cutlerylover is ready for the apocalypse.

  • haha imagine if he got searched by police!

  • On the water purification tabs the shelf life is 4 years (unopened) 1 year(opened)

  • how many pounds is your curent bob edc bag weigh ?? fully loaded with gun ? 2nd quesion what are some things you can do with 550 paracord in a urban day to day use thanks

  • my bail out bags is my local walmart lol

  • u should get a knife with a sirvival kit in it and toss it in your kit so if u do get straned u have that knife and a kit with your bob and u should get a set of bunoclers also u shoud get some spare razor blades for finer work and for a back up back up back up blade

  • u should get a knife with a sirvival kit in it and toss it in your kit so if u do get straned u have that knife and a kit with your bob and u should get a set of bunoclers

  • what are the tones in the background? Around 3:40.

  • another suggestion (i know late) and may be of no use to you but what i think would be very handy would be one of those multi bit screw drivers that have all the different types all in one that way you dont have to carry a bunch of different screw drivers with you

  • that bag for that mirror is a good bag for weed lol

  • [p-0p;0p0;

  • be carefum with those gloves.. i have several pairs of then, and the wrist part will fall apart pretty easily... COOL STUFF tho.. 5/5 :)

  • Really don't understand the serrated knife part on the spork if you need to cut your food you will need another fork anyway to hold it.

  • are you married or do you have a girlfriend or something? if so you should introduce her

  • is he rich???

  • no, actually far from it

  • @cutlerylover hey, atleast u make mor than $5 dollars a week, but im a kid soo

  • i have an sas book to.

  • i watched all these videos and they all have good ideas.

ive been thinking of other small items to put in something like this and ive come up with:

    -few tubes of superglue

    -rubber bands

-small cafe salt packs(if you lose salt in the woods, i dunno from diarrhea or something)

-some money, maybe a $20 bill or something

-dental floss. not for dental hygiene, but for tying stuff. i know you have kevlar thread and paracord, but hey, its pretty small

    -filter straws. "Aquasafe" makes them.

  • you should make a vid were you actualy go somewere like your backyard and show some survival tips

  • instead of the survival book you carry, you should by the, "Zombie Survival Guide". its around $15 at most book stores. Not really useful of course but it is a really good book, and im positive that you will love it.

  • swap those useless iodine tablets for a steripen

  • That knife is most used knife in the swedish army, Mora is a town in Sweden FYI :). And the gloves, dont weld (typing?) with them, There will be a lot of holes, can´t handle heat what so ever.

Nice Vids, keep em comming:) / Calzon, Sweden

  • Great vid,I have the same sas survival guide but its even smaller and has a different cover.Probaly because im from the uk.

  • you should also add crackers in the bob bag

    man you gotta have crackers..

  • Great Video.. Great Gear

  • Make chain-mail armour from the Kevlar thread! :D

  • i call strike anywhere matches strike nowhere matches. they never work right.

  • Did a quick search and found it at REI (use "Sawyer Extractor Pump Kit" as your search string). Not sure if that's the best price you'll find but it's a start.

  • Stay away from that snake bite kit...that's old technology and the razor blade does nothing except do more damage. Check out the "Extractor" kit that was and may still be made by Sawyer...much better suction and easier to use -- btw, enjoyed the vids

  • also a good item is a thing my sister has, I refer to it as a rape grenade, it is a flashlight with a pin in the back that is a keychain and if you rip it offf it makes a sound so loud it can litterally defen you, it is a great item to get someones attention with.

  • one thing you may want to add to your bag is a tri pod flashlight, stanley has a mini one they sell that is 3 led lights and runs on 3 triple a's, that way if you need light one something but your hands are full you have a way to do it. they only run about 10 dollars

  • i bet countycomm loves you

  • if you dont already have i would suggest purchasing the pocket ref. it is an excellent reference item it has everything you could possibly imagine

  • ur magnifying glass brought up a story... when i was in 1st grade we had to use magnifying glasses for science outside so we would burn our friends hands ants and i tried to light dead grass so i got in trouble and also got the magnyfing glass tookin away from me for good =P

  • I didn't know there were flint rods on the bottom of these match containers and I've been carrying one for quite a while now. Now I finally know what this "metal thingy" on the bottom is...thank you very much!

    All best =)

  • Jeff, been trying to post comment on "edc update april 2009". Nothing to argue about, just something that I think you'd be very interested in. Can't get it to post. What's up? Try to contact me.

  • I have that same book, full size.

  • cabelas sells them

  • take a decent metal file and flatten the back edge(spine) of the blade so you have two sharp right angles to use on your firesteel. Or even put a V notch into the back edge. Supa :D

  • hey, can you give me a title of that survival book you had?

  • the SAS Pocket Survival Manual is a great book. I read it at school when I get bored lol

  • cool vid bro

  • i know how to make a fire with just with wood and string but i find it very hard i know you are into bushcraft so if you know how could you make a vid on it. thanks 5/5

  • Cool stuff man. Have you used the tool logic sl3? I love this tool.I have used it to start lost of fires andt it has a built in whistle, which saves space.

  • if you want waterproof matches try tinder match. I have left them out in the rain and the next day let them dry struck on the first try tey lit they also hold 7 min. worth of flame see you later dude

  • Hey ,Question do you have the reg range bag or do you have the larger bag, just wondering?

  • good addition is the Pocket Ref by Thomas J. Glover. It is kind of like the SAS Survival book but it is more a basic everyday reference book. Very good addition.

  • I hear you on the knife sheath. I have a Mora and that sheath is super annoying, but as you said, you cannot expect too much for $10.

Great vid, btw. I've been lurking for a while and finally registered and you gave me some great ideas.

Keep up the great work bro.

  • what does BOB stand for?

  • Bail Out Bag...

  • thanks

  • @cutlerylover or bug out bag

  • The P- 38 cam opener works well as a striker.

  • you can also use the rod on the bottom of the match container to strike anywere matches

  • or you could strike them anywhere.

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • wat do u do if there is a snake in ur house do u have to get rid of it ur self or do u call sum1. crap ive been bitten by a snake u get that stuff out oh shit how do i use this better read instructions screwed if ya cant read lol

  • you cna do either,l if you wanted you can call someone, in my case I have a local place that coudl come out on emergency to get rid of it, but that woudl cost money, depending on what kind of snake I may just do it myself for free, lol...I dont want to kill a snake but if a poisonous one got in my house I woudl have no problem doing so...

  • i love my spork !!

  • what is the countycom website

  • i live in Winnipeg :P

  • Hey quick tip cut off a piece of the fire starter deal on a box of matches and stick it in the cap of the match holder and wallah you always have a striking surface dry and ready to go!

  • Great idea for sure, I place some cotton balls or maybe char cloth in there too. Also if you watch Nutnfancy's multi-day backpacking equipment videos, he warns about putting a striker pad in the container with the REI super matches. Apparently he had them explode on him. I doubt these strike anywhere matches are as powerful, just a word of caution. Great video as always Jeff, keep em' coming.

  • Yeah I remember seeing that video by Nutnfancy lol, a simple piece of cotton ball on top of the striker solves that problem of pre-detenation, plus if you have to you can use it to help start a fire... there are so many right ways to do everything...LOL

  • "If you're under a lot of pressure and forget some of the simplest things" Like you have the book....lol...Thats how it always works..

    Great video

  • I use my spork in the city all the time. I use it to eat my lunch whenever I take it to work.

  • Just got my permit today so im planning on making one of these for the car

  • Here in Australia the current procedure for snake bites is not to worry about sucking out the poison. Is to use a compression bandage. And to go to the hospital for anti venom. Trying to get a descent look at the snake is good as anti-venom is very poisonous, so it is not good to be gven the wrong one.

  • if a snake ever bit me it would be done...

  • If I were you I would buy a reusable poncho from walmart, it costs about 3 bucks and its well worth it.. it's thick material and takes up a little more room... and i also the other day bought most of that stuff along the lines of the spork, match holder, water purification, and poncho from walmart the other day haha! i have a small camelbak hydration thing and i can fit quite a bit in it! good luck on your bob bag...

  • We need yo to model the poncho!!!

  • I keep a pocket copy of the constitution and declaration of independence to read while bored.

  • pretty sure you should make this into 2 parts so it will load

    thanks

  • i have sane gloves LOL they are good

  • Last 5 mins won't load for me either. In high or normal quality. If I try in normal it deleted my internet.

  • cant get it to load

  • also that orange water proof container can fit two surefire batteries in them pretty well, for you surefire fans.

  • try watching it in non high quality, just normal, it worked for me then, nice vid as always

  • PONCHO!!!

    THAT WAS MY IDEA =]

  • vid wont load

  • for some reason the video wont load at all for me??? :(

  • can you do a review on your guns

  • WTF last 5 min wont load and if i try to make it load my internet closes

  • same here

  • dude you have some very cool stuff, thnx for keeping us updated. Your fan, as always....keep the videos short...but o well. 4/5 thnx.

  • I think your right hand glove is ripped at the bottom of your index finger

  • a spork haha. i get about to the compass and it freezes up on me

  • take the water pills out of the contanier and put them in a bag to save weght

  • Those gloves are really easy to find. I use to get them for free at work. You can go to Wal Mart in the Men's work clothing department. You should find these gloves right next to were they keep the dickies and carhart clothes.

  • are those gloves called the Handling Gloves because i have those and they look similar to those gloves but idk for sure

  • nice

  • Do you remember how much you paid for that survival manual? Thanks.

  • Less than $10 on amazon used...the book looks brand new but since it had a black slash mark on the bottom is was sold as used...

  • Good review once again.

  • around where I live you can get the strike anywhere matches at Rural King, don't know if you have those in your area, I bought a pack of 8 of the little boxes and one of the big boxes and they were 99 cents each.

  • and by the wayyy? where is you anyocassion zippo??

  • a spork? lol thats just such an awesome name

  • bro... you are ready 4 war O.O survivor xD

  • i need to get my hands on the pocket version

the full version is too heavy

  • Where's the string tourniquet for you snake bite kit? Good video by the way 5/5

  • I carry 90 feet of paracord at all times and a smaller piece (3 feet) in the front pouch for easy access...

  • I was just saying, it was supposed to come with one. So you took it out? That's cool, got to love paracord.

  • i have the same kit, and it came with a green string look inside the suction cup things there should be one there

  • BOB bag is redundant, like atm machine, it's saying bail out bag bag.

  • I understand but its strange to say my bob...lol, when I say bob bag peopel understand what Im talkign about and the people who dont at least know its a bag...

  • bee-oh-bee bag

  • yeah true

  • Kevlar thread? I need to get my hands on some of that, because the uniforms around here seem like they absolutely need it. Especially for buttons and such.

  • All your BOB/EDC Bag videos really inspired me to create my own survival bag to carry in my car. Thanks man!

  • **tip** dip the end of yur matches in candle wax and let them dry, then alough they are in a water proof conaner, if yu open it and they drop in to water, they will still be waterproof, just use a nail to scrape of the wax!

  • nice edc update

  • love that mora

  • nice love the edc updates

  • Those gloves look very nice. Nice vid :)

  • theyre made from the same stuff as bullet proof vests theyre really hard to cut

  • I guess they make for really good working gloves then ;)

  • I got my Bob bag at countycomm coyote brown : )

  • I carry a lot of the same items in my BOB/EDC, been watching you for a long time, you do a good job, good to know guys like you are out there man.
